A way to give a body to what I can’t say —
grief, desire, memory.

Every painting is a confrontation.
With who I was.
With who I lost.
With who I’m becoming.

I don’t paint to please.
I paint to reveal.
To make the invisible… impossible to ignore.

There’s a tension I keep returning to —
between beauty and discomfort,
control and surrender,
flesh and spirit.

That’s where the truth lives.

My work isn’t meant to sit quietly on a wall.
It’s meant to look back at you.

This is my language.
This is how I remember.
This is how I survive.

Title: rest.

Sleep is the moment the body stops performing.
A quiet surrender to the truest self.

Here, social and cultural roles loosen their grip.
What remains is breath, weight, stillness.

Behind him stand Adam and Eve —
masculine and feminine energy, eternally awake,
holding the myth of choice and consequence.

He does not choose.
He rests.

Masculine energy softens.
Feminine energy becomes space.
Power is not asserted, but released.

Sleep is not escape.
It is a return.

“Pandora’s Box”

This painting is a work-in-progress, yet already filled with myth, memory, and echoes of centuries-old questions. I share it now, because sometimes an unfinished piece still speaks loudly — from the place where creation hesitates.

At the heart of the composition is Pandora, the first woman in Greek mythology, condemned and yet curious, holding the infamous box that unleashed all suffering upon the world — war, sickness, despair — leaving only hope at the bottom. Her expression is unreadable: guilt, defiance, or perhaps something deeper?

Around her swirl layered references:
— Dante Alighieri, climbing through the Inferno in search of Beatrice, echoing a love so vast it defied hell itself.
— A nod to 15th-century memento mori paintings, where youth and death are intertwined — a reminder that vitality is always on borrowed time.
— And, as with Adam and Eve, the act of opening, of tasting the forbidden, becomes the catalyst of transformation, exile, and knowledge.

The woman in red may be all these figures at once — or none.
She opens the box, and with it, unleashes not only mythic suffering but the imagination itself.

This painting is still unfinished. I’m allowing it to rest. Let it breathe in its liminal state before I return — maybe weeks, maybe months. Creation, too, has its seasons.

Back in Milan, where a part of my artistic journey began.

Thirteen years ago, I moved here to study my Master’s in Design. Two unforgettable years that shaped me as both an artist and a person. Walking through the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II still feels just as inspiring as it did back then.

Now I’m back, painting in the home of a friend from those years. The woman in this unfinished painting is her—a tribute to this city, the memories it holds, and the joy of creating here again.

Some places never stop feeling like home.
