What’s better than a one-day art market? Yes, you guessed it! A two-day art market.

That’s exactly what we did two weeks ago. Please enjoy these snapshots from day two, where a fresh group of artists and visitors joined us.

Stay tuned for more KMN events later this year.

Love,
Team Kunstmarkt Noord

Kunstmarkt Noord is back on March 28 + 29 for its 14th edition!

For the very first time, we’re bringing together 80 (!) curated visual artists in a diverse and refreshing line-up at the iconic NDSM Theater in Amsterdam Noord.

Join us during the first weekend of spring and browse art for your home, or find the perfect gift for someone you love. Expect everything from postcards and prints to original works, with prices starting at just €10. Who says supporting local artists can’t be accessible?

As always, there will be food, drinks, and live DJs to keep the vibes high all weekend long.

This edition, we’re excited to feature @studioclaessen, @miesj.bu, @jasmyncheng.art, and many more! Who are you excited to see?

🗓️ March 28+29 | 12:00–18:00

“When Pandora opened the box, all the world’s evils were unleashed—fear, sorrow, disease. But one thing remained, quietly curled at the bottom: hope.

Perhaps hope was the cruelest gift of all. Or perhaps… it was the most divine.

Art is my own Pandora’s box—every painting a release, every brushstroke a question. What remains after everything is stripped away?

Hope. And the courage to begin again.”

Title: The Sun.
Msm: 60x40 cm
Materials: oil on linen
Year: April 2023.

The main focus was to create a view towards a sunny warm day on a terrace enjoying a simple ice cold water.

When the days are lacking of sun, this will be great to look at to feel a little bit more sunny on the inside. ☀️🕶💦

L'essenza. ☕️
Still life - Oil on linnen.
February, 2022. Available
By: @studioclaessen - Amsterdam. 🇳🇱🇮🇹
.
Context:
Officially I paint a year and a month now. I feel so blessed for this passion I found. This is clearly a style I like to continue with. 🙏 I painted this during the last days in evenings after my fulltime job. 🤍
.
The Moka refers to my Sardinian roots and my 2 years in Milan (2012-2014) for my Master in Product Design. I remember my Neapolitan flatmate stored her coffee in the fridge to keep the aroma preserved.
.
The Lavazza coffee cup my ex once stole for me at the airport in Malta in 2018 during one of our beautiful holidays to @renzo_vella @karlsam3 . I found that so cute and somehow attractive that he did this for me, as I could never find them in stores. I always kept that cup close to me. 🥺🤍☕️
.
The silver sugar cup with plate I inherited of the grandmom of my dear friend @naomibakx when she sadly died. She lived in Geleen - Limburg. She knew I loved silver objects and the mom of Naomi decided to give it to me which I still use on a daily base. 🤍

During my ‘covid positive’ days I am kind if restricted to the bed and my sketchbook. I got inspired by the Spanish: @dorian.1889 👨🏻‍🌾 on instagram.
His face is full of classic mystery. His boyfriend is hot too by the way!
I called him a ‘walking portrait’. In my opinion he should walk around with a Golden Baroque frame 😋. You can guess why… ✍️ ✏️ He’s very fun to follow, mark my words!

“Mijn lunch aan tafel.”
Olieverf op doek.
.
