Here's an update on the Romeo project in Talent, Oregon. This is a house with a garage and accessory dwelling downstairs and an interior stair to the roof. Photos (and some illustration it seems) by Darren Penquite of West Coast Images. taken in Talent, Oregon by @studioearchitecture

This attic retreat got squeezed in below the existing roof of a house in Portland. The city would not allow changing the roof from the outside due to historic preservation rules.

The stair did not need to meet the minimum dimensions for new construction because this is still considered an attic, but it's much more comfortable than the pull down ladder that was here before.

Very nice work from contractor Rob Cellini, who has built a handful of other projects for Studio.e. taken in Portland, Oregon by @studioearchitecture

These images show the construction of the Eagle Haven Village project in Washington, a collection of tiny homes for the Lummi Nation. All the homes were built off-site in a factory and placed on their foundations with a crane. The first two views show the community center which was built on-site.

The architect for this project was Metaamo, with sustainability consulting by Studio.e. taken in Bellingham, Washington by @studioearchitecture

This house in Corvallis has the windows installed and siding in progress. These are very nice triple pane windows from Pivot. The sheathing is Zip-R6 with an inch of polyiso insulation facing the interior. Siding goes over furring strips, including the stone base. There are pressure treated 1x4s at 8" on center to maintain a rainscreen behind the stone veneer. This is the second Studio.e project built by contractor Jeff Hunter. taken in Corvallis, Oregon by @studioearchitecture

This house on Hendricks Hill in Eugene was completed recently and looks very sharp. There should be professional photos after the landscape perks up in the spring. In this image you see the spiral stair to the roof deck. taken in Eugene, Oregon by @studioearchitecture

This ADU fills the available space above the garage of the Wolverine House. It’s a good size and an ideal spot for an accessory dwelling. The ADU has an entry facing the street and a roof deck facing over the backyard from high ground. This allows a treetop experience with no close neighbors.

By itself, the garage already has a foundation and a roof, and the ADU only takes a minor bite from the garage floor area, to make room for the stairs. It’s a sensible use of material to build the second floor and capture such a nice living space, even when the main house is designed for single level living.

This new house in Corvallis is now known as the Wolverine house. Here are some professional photos by Alec Tucker. Great execution on the design by the builder Jeff Hunter, who is currently building another Studio.e project in the area.

The site has a downward slope that drops quite a bit at the backyard. It makes the main deck feel almost like a highrise balcony, but this floor is even with the front porch. taken in Corvallis, Oregon by @studioearchitecture

These are recent photos of a feature rich house in Jacksonville. There's a bridge across a rain garden with goldfish. There's a lofty conservatory with skylights and tall windows at both ends. One side opens to a deck with a panoramic view from high ground. If that's not enough, there's an exterior stair to a rooftop deck with full 360 views. In the basement there are cisterns to capture water during the rainy season.

This was one of a few Studio.e projects completed by Jovick Built, and they did a great job. taken in Jacksonville, Oregon by @studioearchitecture

These are recent photos of a house in Corvallis that turned out nicely. The roof at the front porch is built with salvaged steel from a bridge that was dismantled. There's an ADU above the garage, with its own entrance at the right.

Stay tuned for professional photos of this and a few other projects. taken in Corvallis, Oregon by @studioearchitecture

The Romeo project in Talent is complete other than landscaping. Here are some new photos including interiors and the roof deck. Very nice work and attention to detail from Solid Ground Building. This house and ADU are available for someone looking for a home in southern Oregon.

A point of clarification, this is a single family detached house on an infill site. It's kind of tall and narrow but not a townhouse as it was described before! taken in Talent, Oregon by @studioearchitecture

This house was recently completed in Corvallis. The backyard drops quite a bit and there's a nice view from two tiers of decks in the back. The owner was able to salvage some steel framing to use in the canopy over the front porch.

That's an ADU above the garage, with the entrance on the right. We'll get someone to take nice photos when the landscape fills out in a few months. taken in Corvallis, Oregon by @studioearchitecture
