After years in corporate social impact and documenting diaspora through The HABESHA Project, I’m building a cultural strategy consultancy—helping organizations and founders translate complexity into clarity.

I’ve been craving a space that feels like me - rooted, creative, and alive.

Studio Hiwet is that space. Named after my aunt Hiwet, who raised me to understand the value of art and civic engagement. Her early passing taught me something else: to maximize the time we have, to create with intention, to honor life by living it fully.

ሂወት / Hiwet means life in Tigrinya. This studio is where I continue exploring identity, memory, and connection through image and story.

This work didn’t start in a boardroom or a gallery. It started in Eswatini with public health programs, in community spaces across continents, in conversations about who we are and where we belong. It grew through corporate roles where I built programs by day and documented diaspora stories by night. It crystallized in living rooms, on rooftops, and in moments where people trusted me with their narratives.

I don’t have the full branding yet — just the vision, the name, and a lot of life to create from.

Studio Hiwet is my practice of cultural documentation, program strategy, and creative engagement. It’s consulting. It’s photography. It’s research. It’s whatever the work needs to be.
