A love letter to the Prince of Darkness from a fan…

Dear Ozzy,

So much has happened since I put on Black Sabbath Vol. 4 in my room one night at boarding school in 1981. The Catholic nuns were asleep down the hall. Of course, I had heard all the Sabbath albums already but they were experienced with groups of friends, usually in a party situation. In my room that night, I was truly alone...

Read more on the Classic Album Sundays website.

Our Ozzy super fan is Leslie Lyons, an American music photographer and director. She has produced images for Rough Trade, Mute, Columbia, Heavenly and Atlantic record labels. Editorial work includes shoots for VIBE, Fader, Gear and other magazines as well as the New York Times. Her music documentary series One Night Stand can be viewed on QWEST TV, the music content streaming platform from Quincy Jones. Leslie has two daughters and currently lives and works in New York City.

Fearlessness gives you a life of creativity, adventure, joy, connection, magic and empowerment. Honor the great man today and get out of the fear zone.

Our show @onenightstandshow.tv was 7 years in the making when we finally landed on @qwest.tv and came into company with the incomparable Quincy Jones. Fear could have shut us down any step of the way. Here we are. Thank you Q!!

From Denise Levertov.

I attended the 50th anniversary of @poetry_project New Years Day marathon and, as always, found magic and inspiration there. This quote from Making Peace by Denise Levertov (which I bought in the bustling back room) gets to the heart of it all.
