Studiolo is a high-end group selling exhibition which takes place in different cities and extraordinary locations throughout the year for one day, one evening only. This Summer, our London event will be held in the medieval College Garden and Cloisters at Westminster Abbey, in collaboration with the architectural and interior designer @benpentreathstudio.

This is a one-off opportunity to experience works of art from several of the world’s leading galleries, in the setting of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Among the artworks on display will be objects which have centuries-old links to the Abbey itself. Ben Pentreath Studio is bringing an exciting, fresh design perspective to the display at this historically magnificent venue.

Studiolo is by invitation only.

Participating galleries and artworks will be announced soon.

What’s next for Studiolo?

We’re excited to bring Studiolo. to New York for the first time this Autumn, expanding internationally after this year’s successful London edition.

The setting will be new, but the idea remains the same: thoughtfully curated works, beautiful design, and spaces that invite considered looking and deeper engagement with art.

What is Studiolo?

Studiolo. begins with a simple idea: that the way we experience art is shaped by the spaces in which we encounter it. Bringing together works of art, furniture, design and historic architecture, it creates an environment where every element informs the next, encouraging slower looking and unexpected connections.

More than a one-day exhibition, Studiolo. is an evolving exploration of how context can transform the experience of art.

The Cloisters at Westminster Abbey provided the setting for the evening exhibition at Studiolo. London 2026.

Framed by centuries of architecture, this additional display revealed a special and different side to the works on view. Paintings, sculpture, jewellery and decorative arts integrated into the historic space, each enriching the other and demonstrating how profoundly context can shape the experience of looking.

For one beautiful evening, art and architecture came together in one of London’s most extraordinary historic settings.

Two weeks have passed since Studiolo. London 2026, and we’re still reflecting.

Designed to exist only briefly, our latest edition invited visitors and collectors to encounter works of art in an environment where history, scale and setting were as much a part of the experience as the objects themselves. For a single day, Westminster Abbey’s College Garden and Cloisters became home to a carefully composed intersection of art, architecture and decoration.

Though temporary by design, Studiolo. London continues to stay with us. We’re already looking forward to what’s next.

The medieval College Garden at Westminster Abbey was the heart of Studiolo. London 2026.

Set within London’s oldest cultivated garden, the display co-created by Ben Pentreath Studio offered a thoughtfully designed setting where architecture, interiors and works of art came together in dialogue. Beyond the participating galleries’ extraordinary works of art inside the marquee, sculptures by Guruve extended the exhibition into the landscape, creating moments of discovery throughout the garden and inviting visitors to experience the art in conversation with its surroundings.

This behind-the-scenes glimpse of Studiolo. London 2026 captures the remarkable work that went into creating a temporary space designed to let art be experienced in context.

For just one day, Westminster Abbey’s College Garden and the Cloisters were transformed into a carefully designed exhibition, where architecture, interiors and works of art came together in dialogue with one of London’s most historic settings. Every detail was carefully considered to create an environment that encouraged slower looking and a deeper appreciation of the objects on view.

By existing only temporarily, Studiolo. can be reimagined at each edition, responding to new places, new partnerships and new ideas.

The College Garden at Westminster Abbey provided an extraordinary setting for Studiolo. London 2026. Surrounded by centuries of history, the garden offered a striking context in which to experience art, architecture, and design in dialogue with one another. Sculptures from Guruve filled the space, while benches generously provided by Munder Skiles helped shape a thoughtful and elegant environment for viewing and reflection.
