JENA - GLASHAUS IM PARADIES

anlässlich des tag des offenen denkmals lud der glashaus im paradies e.v. am sonnabend, 12.9., zur veranstaltung „jena - eine ansichtssache“ in das wunderschöne paradies. bei herrlichem wetter und familärer atmosphäre sprachen gunther krieg (künstler und sohn von fotograf kurt krieg) und ich gemeinsam mit kunsthistorikerin doris weilandt über das ansichtskarten sammeln, sichtbar machen und den fotografischen abgleich im jetzt.

ich bedanke mich bei radio okj für die liveübertragung und bei maren und tino für die fleißige orga inkl. wohnzimmergefühl.

Civil courage is needed at all times and in all places. Anyone can find themselves in a situation where they have to show their courage. Once again this year, studio mizuiro designed the entire campaign for the “Jena Prize for Civil Courage” (Jenaer Preis für Zivilcourage). This year’s 2026 poster centres on playful graphic elements that come together to form two people.

Since 2002, this prize has been awarded annually to people in Jena who have demonstrated civil courage through their selfless actions.

Yeah a new vinyl cover artwork for @liveatrobertjohnson has arrived.
Jacques Bon and Pit Spector are a Paris based artist duo working with a clear and reduced understanding of club music. Their productions move within a state of controlled uncertainty.
The painting by @k.fuerchtegott extends this approach through a reduced and tension driven visual language. @studiomizuiro has turned his painting into a wonderful vinyl sleeve.

The Curt Elschner Gallery in Eisenach celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2025. The concept behind the six-month anniversary exhibition GEGENLICHT spanned space and time. The centenary provided ten contemporary artists from Thuringia with an opportunity to engage in a creative dialogue with the ‘old masters’ of the Elschner Gallery. Their works offered fresh perspectives, acting as a counterpoint to pieces from the collection, and allowed for an exploration of individual styles and various artistic movements.

In 2014, Jeff Mills teamed up with filmmaker Jacqueline Caux to play with our perceptions through ‘soundscapes’ that are as philosophical as they are poetic. The result: MAN FROM TOMORROW.

In a way, I listened to the film and its explicit message, and in doing so discovered this statement „MUSIC WAS NEVER THE PROBLEM“, which I would like to present as significant for current views on music. In my view, in the age of AI, music should not be reduced to a product, but should continue to be an expression of emotion without any commercial ulterior motives.

So in that way i picked up this message to create a poster for @liveatrobertjohnson. Thanks to @atamacias for supporting the idea.

„Die Platte der Zukunft – Das Smarte Quartier Jena-Lobeda als Reallabor“
116 colour pages with infographics and QR codes for further information.

The ‘Smart Neighbourhood’ is a pilot project demonstrating that a building complex dating from the early 1980s can be transformed for the digital future. Through the collaboration of many partners under the leadership of the Stadtwerke Jena Group, an innovative residential area has emerged in Jena-Lobeda following a thorough renovation. Thanks to intelligent heating control, telemedicine, smart home technology, sharing schemes and a community space, this has not only improved the quality of life for residents of all generations but also made a significant contribution to climate protection through energy savings.

Sparks flew and lightning flashed. Studio Mizuiro designed a graphic line using a geometric Grid System for FRONTIERS 02 – an event organised by the Jena-based artist collective @hilabs_tesla, which included a Tesla concert and DJ performance at @imaginatajena.

The HiLabs Tesla collective has been exploring the interface between art and science for several years. At its heart is the Tesla synthesiser, a specially developed electroacoustic musical instrument that generates electromagnetic fields, lightning and sounds in real time. HiLabs Tesla combines sound art, contemporary music, audiovisual media and science in a novel instrument and performance format.
