We started at World Spa, cooled down at Frijoleros, headed to Chez Ma Tante for happy hour and now getting ready for Rolo’s for dinner. BK in January, you keep things hot even when the temps are 🥶 by @stuoneil

This man gives me optimism for life, this country, and yes even politics. I’ve known him since we were teenagers (I’ve known his extraordinary wife Diane even longer, shout out Kennedy Jr. High). He’s running for Secretary of State in Michigan. Vote for Anthony, he’s a great friend, a great person. He’ll do us all proud. by @stuoneil

Here we go, best bites (and a few sips) April edition 1) Slow-roasted celeriac w/ Café de Paris sauce (Ottolenghi’s) Unreal 2) Butter-Roasted Paneer w/Tomato Curry (NYT) - but I swapped paneer for romanesco and broccoli bc that’s what I had on hand. Made a quick raita too. 3) Solo cocktail night (Stu gone, me bored): mixed Batavia Arrack (rum-ish) + calamansi + a spoon of last year’s “Bachelor’s Jam” (local fruit in rum/sugar, Lebovitz). Bright + floral, garnished w spring blooms from the yard. 4) Turmeric-Black Pepper Chicken w Asparagus (NYT) - easy, flavorful, 10/10 recommend. 5) Pimm’s Cups (Maison Première) Peak garden party vibes. 6) Some Greens are Bigger Than Others - salad name ChatGPT helped me pick. Big, fresh, bold greens. V 90s girl moment. 7) Grissini (101 Cookbooks) Fun! Added dried rosemary from last year but would 2x it next time + more salt bc salt fiend here. 8) Beef Osso Buco + Polenta - beef shanks from Farm Field Table was the inspo. Followed Serious Eats mostly (oven/stovetop instead of slow cooker). Rich + cozy. 9) Whole Roasted Cauliflower w Pistachio Pesto + Baked Feta w Broc/Roasted Lemon (both NYT). Veg on! 10) Lentil soup (NYT) w feta + radish/cuke + still-warm Iraqi bread from Paradise Fruit Market ($1 for 3!) 11) Peruvian meatloaf w/hard boiled eggs inside + salsa criolla (via Eduardo Escobar, TikTok). Bright, bold, rich insane flavor. Served w radicchio/endive/citrus salad to cut the richness. 👩🏻‍🍳There you have it! Lmk if you want links and Bon Appétit! 😍 by @stuoneil
