Well nothing ate them yet, and the big male is HEAVILY guarding and protecting them, even from the female that laid them 😆

So here we go now.......

What do you think of the added flow and the new kelp?

Do I need more? Less? Just right? 🤔

A few macro portrait shots from my 150 gallon Coldwater Marine Aquarium ❄️

1 - Juvenile Lumpfish on kelp
2 - Juvenile Lumpfish hugging a kelp stipe
3 - Feather Blenny in his barnacle home
4 - Aggregating Anemones (Anthopleura elegantissima) - pink tips, from Oregon
5 - Beadlet Anemones (Actinia equina) - European species now introduced / established here in the Northeast

All coldwater, 55°-60°F using a chiller, no heater. Macro really shows how much personality coldwater has.

Favorite portrait? 1-5? Any requests?

First swim in the big tank for one of the baby Lumpfish.

Moved 6 of the larger ones out of the grow-out this week. Still thumb-sized, but holding their own.

Day 15 — my 20+ baby Lumpfish (Cyclopterus lumpus) have tripled in size. Now crushing 2 full cubes of frozen mysis a day.

They learned a new trick today 😁

Sped up 8 minutes into 3 — watch until the end.

These baby Lumpfish now swim up and stick right to my finger with their suction disc. They've learned finger = food.

Lesson 1: complete ✅

Tank tour update - coldwater crew is doing great.

Baby Lumpfish are all eating frozen mysis now, Blenny is still guarding eggs in the shell, sculpins are out cruising, and the rock gunnels are wedged in like usual.
