Proud to present my Tarikoplata course on @submeta.io 🔥

This is a refined system built from years of training, competition, and obsessing over details. Every entry, control, and finish has been pressure-tested at the highest level.

Submeta has been a huge part of my own development — I’m a frequent user of the platform, and a lot of the techniques I’ve used to win my recent titles came directly from studying here. Being able to now contribute my own system feels full circle.

Big thank you to @lachlan_giles and @livia_giles for the opportunity. If you want to sharpen your game with real, competition-proven jiu-jitsu, this platform is it.

False reap from top 😃

An interesting alternative to the classic backstep. By controlling their bottom leg you’re still making it difficult for them to hit a sweep. You can also threaten a false reap, which may open up opportunities to pass their guard.

Another Canadian arm drag :D

I did something similar in my last fight at ONE. In both cases, I set up the arm drag by attacking the legs, and my opponent decided to drop to his knees to avoid giving me access to his legs. But being on your knees also leaves your upper body more exposed, which gives you more opportunities to attack up top.

I used the collar tie to break his posture and create the opening for the arm drag.

I recently posted a breakdown of a similar sequence on my Patreon. Link in bio

NEW FALSE REAP INSTRUCTIONAL🔥

Fresh off my ADCC World Championship run, I break down the false reap system that has become a defining part of my competitive game. In this course, I explore how I connect the false reap with Reverse De La Riva, half butterfly, K-guard, 50/50, and wrestle-up situations to create a versatile system for attacking the lower body.

I detail the framing, hook placement, grip choices, and hip movement I use to expose the near or secondary leg while limiting chest pressure, ankle control, and common passing reactions.

I explain the decision-making behind when I stay on the primary leg, switch to the secondary leg, transition to K-guard or backside entries, or come up on a wrestle-up rather than forcing the saddle.

The course also covers control after the entry, including calf coverage, self-framing, figure-four connections, double trouble, and adjustments for imperfect leg configurations. I also include match footage showing how I apply the system in competition, alongside common mistakes and counters.

K-Guard with an inside reach to the far leg

When my partner immediately puts his weight on the leg I’m attacking with K-Guard, I can switch my grip to an inside reach on the other leg. From there, instead of leaving my knee on the mat, I bring it up high right away and clear my partner’s leg. This puts me in a really strong attacking position and gives me a direct entry into Sankaku or 50/50, with a good angle to attack. by @submeta.io
