Come break bread and dream on the hill under the stars with us!

Succurro is a place to stay, eat, learn, and create. This small farm is run cooperatively on 110 acres in the Western Catskill mountains, welcoming visitors to stay on the land and eat together. Maintaining a focused undercurrent on the healing arts, we aim to share food created in alignment with the patterns of life, and provide hospitality that allows space for transformation amidst uncertainty.

How comfortable can we get in the ambiguous? How subtly are we willing to feel through the nervous system? Can the imaginal realm come to the fore, the network of being speaking? Even if these sorts of questions are not your jam, it’s still a pretty place to rest ;)

Putting up the new website and starting our 8th summer on this particular land, the core reflection is on the shift from one persons small studio in Brooklyn, to a couple moving upstate, to a cooperatively-run farm and healing arts space. This video is from Owyn and Damian’s wedding last summer, 7 years after moving here, many hands creating a celebration of so much.

The hive is abuzz with activity and birth. We’re in the midst of all the financial and legal steps to shift our model to a co-op structure. It’s taken many years living and working together, committing to shared practices that move us through conflict, honoring ongoing mutual respect for each others’ specific skills, natural traits, and roles in the whole, while letting the land lead.

More on the farm and healing arts next, but first we had to acknowledge this change and the hard work of one little dreaming hive, weaving together. We hope to see you here soon — for a trip, a meal, a walk, or a deep dive.

The delicate materiality of every SourcePoint session, an invitation into subtle inquiry through the whole being in a network of being. The deliberate and precise movements of hands sensing in a field, feet in a slow dance around the rhythmic body. An offering of being together, tending to each other, in a different way.

This has been so palpable in the current round of workshops, very much in part to the beauty and tenderness of the space at @reforesters.io — we’ll continue teaching here next year, and also explore a residential option at Succurro to more deeply study in a container of creative pulsations. An invitation to a special gathering at @succ.urro in upstate New York.

🌾 October 10th and 11th, @owynmarisol and I are hosting a gathering: we invite you to join us in playful somatic practice with weaving, movement with threads in rhythms from Southern Italy, and photography.

🌿 This is an invitation to create something together. I will be spending the week prior at Succurro with Owyn. The format for the weekend is intentional but casual: we’re excited to see what our week holds, and what will emerge from who gathers on the weekend.

🍂 You’re invited to join for the afternoon through dinner on the 10th, or stay the night through midday on the 11th. There are options to stay on the land.

The gathering does not have a registration fee, but there is an exchange for meals and lodging. Succurro will donate the lodging proceeds after expenses to Women’s Water Walk, an Indigenous led group that is leading a water walk along the route of a proposed pipeline that would cut right through the area.

Succurro began in 2016 as a small healing arts space in Brooklyn for artists to gather and explore their making processes in the context of shared healing practices.

In 2017 the project moved to the mountains, where the journey of Succurro continues as a land-based project. This emergent space evolves in a cooperative manner, weaving the creativity and collaboration of a small team.

There is still a chance to complete the full SourcePoint basic training of Modules 1, 2 and 3 this Fall in NYC with @succ.urro at @reforesters.io

In the recent Insights post, “Relationship,” Donna ends with: “I write this in honor of the Inter-Being we share, with the wish that the human being will experience a renewed Awareness of our most intimate relationships- with the Source of our Being, with the world in which we dwell, and the responsibility we have to it, and to each other.”

We are used to, perhaps, engaging in this through a lens of complication, rather than through the simplicity of precise protocol. In every SourcePoint session, we repeat the protocol, the body walking, tracing, scanning the energetic structures supporting and sustaining our humanity. And for that moment it’s all we need to “do” to remember and recognize the inherent relationship with that palpable, sentient Presence, expressing itself in everything. taken in Reforesters Laboratory by @succ.urro

We speak less these days to the ‘healing arts’ side of things. Partly because it gets lost in the noise of this space, partly out of protection, partly because descriptions don’t usually do justice to practice.

This year we have the honor of hosting our annual @sourcepointtherapy training in a space dedicated to sound — the therapeutic & social uses of vibration. @reforesters.io also happens to be our farm neighbor, and we can’t wait to experience sharing this work in such intentional space that feels less in the ‘wellness’ sphere and more in the direct-experience-of-something-fundamental-sphere.

While we won’t be learning anything about ‘playing music’ perse, we will be learning to work, through the hands, directly with subtle sensing, pattern, frequency; entering realms together that require focused attention and care.

SourcePoint is a very precise protocol that allows for remembering and recognition on subtler and subtler levels, of an intelligence that comes before any story, idea, or intuition. Every August we (re)introduce the Fellowship as it evolves, sometimes subtly sometimes in big ways. We’ll share more these weeks as we inch toward enrollment deadline. The work shared here is from Isabella Amstrup, @isabella.amstrup , many times a Fellow, and a vital part of the Succurro cloth she helps to weave.

This year there is a steadiness, the structure has found its rhythm. Through all the iterations, since 2016, the warp is the same: an incubation period, within a cohort, to align with how Creation distinctly moves through you in service of the web of being.

This means stepping behind ideas of who we are, the ways we have performed to please and be validated; it is a relaxing into and recognizing what has always come most naturally, taking responsibility for and committing to it, as the specific medicine you bring.

As a group we witness and support that process in one another; through shared practice we are allowed to rest and be curious, giving space for emergence through communication with the many threads and beings that make “you” You. In times of collapse and rebirth we grieve and release the modern individualist ideas of human ‘creativity’, making space for something else to flourish.

field notes on cultivating night vision | Succurro 2026

I dream in eights and this too is affirmation of a descent that must beckon me back earthside. yet if i am deep down, hanging on the hook, or trudging back up through the gates, only time’s hindsight can affirm. (though I do have a humble inkling.) i smile at the red-winged blackbird who, in their defiant sovereignty, plucks downy feathers from the bald eagle’s back.

if women blessed with death-eyes are fearless,* might the children evading Lailah’s amnesic touch spill truth from their wide open trickster lips?

in order to share it, I must live it. and i am, in every lifetime i am.

Moments recorded during @succ.urro artist residency in July. This tune came to me during my last day by the creek, when the skies turned orange from the mega fires scorching through forests in Ontario.

Thank you @isabella.amstrup for documenting and teaching me to spin fiber, @r.ebeccah and @auguste.garufi for many full conversations and the resources to listen to the land. Thank you @owynmarisol for the space to be with my creativity 🌸

In #delco this weekend? Come by the Catskill Mountain Yoga Festival — the Vendor Village is open to all, and we’ll be holding a SourcePoint Therapy sessions clinic by donation!

We’ll also be sharing Motherwort flower essence. Two practices that awaken us humans to our place within a vast network of being, capable of true collaboration, communication, creativity, and care.
