The delicate materiality of every SourcePoint session, an invitation into subtle inquiry through the whole being in a network of being. The deliberate and precise movements of hands sensing in a field, feet in a slow dance around the rhythmic body. An offering of being together, tending to each other, in a different way. This has been so palpable in the current round of workshops, very much in part to the beauty and tenderness of the space at @reforesters.io — we’ll continue teaching here next year, and also explore a residential option at Succurro to more deeply study in a container of creative pulsations. More on that soon

An invitation to a special gathering at @succ.urro in upstate New York. 🌾 October 10th and 11th, @owynmarisol and I are hosting a gathering: we invite you to join us in playful somatic practice with weaving, movement with threads in rhythms from Southern Italy, and photography. 🌿 This is an invitation to create something together. I will be spending the week prior at Succurro with Owyn. The format for the weekend is intentional but casual: we’re excited to see what our week holds, and what will emerge from who gathers on the weekend. 🍂 You’re invited to join for the afternoon through dinner on the 10th, or stay the night through midday on the 11th. There are options to stay on the land. The gathering does not have a registration fee, but there is an exchange for meals and lodging. Succurro will donate the lodging proceeds after expenses to Women’s Water Walk, an Indigenous led group that is leading a water walk along the route of a proposed pipeline that would cut right through the area. ABOUT SUCCURRO Succurro began in 2016 as a small healing arts space in Brooklyn for artists to gather and explore their making processes in the context of shared healing practices. In 2017 the project moved to the mountains, where the journey of Succurro continues as a land-based project. This emergent space evolves in a cooperative manner, weaving the creativity and collaboration of a small team. Link in bio to RSVP

There is still a chance to complete the full SourcePoint basic training of Modules 1, 2 and 3 this Fall in NYC with @succ.urro at @reforesters.io In the recent Insights post, “Relationship,” Donna ends with: “I write this in honor of the Inter-Being we share, with the wish that the human being will experience a renewed Awareness of our most intimate relationships- with the Source of our Being, with the world in which we dwell, and the responsibility we have to it, and to each other.” We are used to, perhaps, engaging in this through a lens of complication, rather than through the simplicity of precise protocol. In every SourcePoint session, we repeat the protocol, the body walking, tracing, scanning the energetic structures supporting and sustaining our humanity. And for that moment it’s all we need to “do” to remember and recognize the inherent relationship with that palpable, sentient Presence, expressing itself in everything.

Some healing doesn’t happen through talk, or even through touch — it happens through field. Owyn Ruck @succ.urro @owynmarisol, Source Point Therapy practitioner and trainer explains that Source Point therapy is a subtle energy modality that works from a simple but radical premise: that each of us carries a Blueprint of health, a template of order, balance, harmony, and flow that never actually leaves us, even when trauma, pain, or years of armoring make it feel inaccessible. A practitioner doesn’t fix you. They listen — to the energy field around and within the body — and help clear whatever is blocking your own access to that blueprint. No forcing. No fixing. Just re-connection. As a psychoanalyst sitting in the space between bodies and minds, this lands somewhere very familiar: the idea that health isn’t something we build from scratch, it’s something we return to. The unconscious holds memory. The body holds memory. Maybe the field does too. Preorder Memoir Link: https://www.cohenpsyd.com/preorder/ #EnergyHealing #SourcePointTherapy #BlueprintOfHealth

A few weeks back, we brought the farm to NYC with Levi’s®. Connecting our city with the farmers, growers, and makers who power our local food system. There’s no substitute for knowing the source, meeting the people behind the work, and showing up to enjoy it together. Thank you to every vendor who joined us, and to everyone who came through and supported. This is the good stuff.

Moments recorded during @succ.urro artist residency in July. This tune came to me during my last day by the creek, when the skies turned orange from the mega fires scorching through forests in Ontario. Thank you @isabella.amstrup for documenting and teaching me to spin fiber, @r.ebeccah and @auguste.garufi for many full conversations and the resources to listen to the land. Thank you @owynmarisol for the space to be with my creativity 🌸 Much gratitude to the monarch butterflies, the golden rod, the Hawthorne trees, the creek, the sky, and the generosity of this sacred land of the Onondanga, Mohawk, and Haudenosaunee.

Becoming With/Through Death Clay, mulberry paper, yucca root, human hair, animal bones, annatto seed, found sterling silver, and cotton fiber. 98” X 56” X 5.5” 2026 When there is loss in the material space how does it occupy us in another space, in the dream world, in our emotions, in our bodies and within our memory? This project emerged within the fractured space of diasporic memory, memory relating to the multiplicity of origins, memory relating to kinship ( human and nonhuman) and belonging. I have been curious about reimagining the potentiality that is possible within fractured memory; memory that has been oppressed, memory that has been erased, memory that has been intentionally fragmented due to colonial violence. Colonial violence seeks not only the extinction of lineages but also the killing of knowledge. I am curious how the fracture and/or fragments transform into a threshold for sovereignty to be revived through the process of learning to be in kinship with death and grief, as a way of sensing a speculative past, present, and future. Thank you to the seen/unseen, the great mysteries, the land and web of relations, to @owynmarisol and the @succ.urro team for their unconditional support that helped realize the vision/ prayer of this project.
