Officially attending the Global Youth Summit 2025 in Cape Town as a Global Changemaker!

I have known about GCM for almost a decade but the timing and purpose never seemed to align. A couple of years ago, I decided that I would be investing significant amount of my time and energy into the social impact area; which pushed me to search for better opportunities to grow and learn. I have run and stumbled multiple times and that's the beauty of honing our purpose. This summer I took a leap of faith and submitted my application for the program trusting my work and potential.

To be recognised as one of the 50 Global Changemakers this year has been rewarding and inspiring. As a part of the program, I was awarded a fully funded scholarship to attend the Global Youth Summit in Cape Town. I am deeply honored and motivated to be in a room of diverse thinkers and doers.

I wish we didn't have to be resilient and go through such devastating times over and over again.
Hopeful to see prompt relief efforts and wishing for strong rehabilitation and recovery.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected. I can't even imagine how difficult it is to live with this.

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Sumana K.C. has been appointed as Goodwill Ambassador for United World Schools (UWS) Nepal.

A dental surgeon, health activist and media personality, Dr. K.C. works at the intersection of healthcare and communication. She is the Founder and Chairperson of Suswasthya Bhava:, a non-profit dedicated to making healthcare more accessible across Nepal. Crowned Miss Nepal Earth 2024, she went on to represent Nepal at Miss Earth 2024 in the Philippines, and today hosts The Fab Show, a current affairs television programme. A Global Changemaker Fellow, she is soon embarking on a Master of Public Health journey at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, further strengthening her commitment to advancing public health and social impact.

In this role, Dr. K.C. will help amplify the voices of children and communities in some of Nepal's most remote areas — places where a school is often the first and only public service to reach a village. Her advocacy will widen awareness of the barriers these children face, and help build the partnerships needed to overcome them.

We are grateful for her commitment and look forward to working together towards Zero Education Poverty, where every child, no matter how remote their village, learns, thrives and leads.
