Happy Father’s Day to this guy! From packing up our lives to move across the country, to navigating the vibrant streets of Mexico, there is truly no one else I’d rather adventure through life with. You make every unknown road feel safe and exciting.

Watching you as a parent is my absolute favorite thing. The bond you two share is undeniable—you have the same sense of humor, the same quick wit, and the same generous heart. Seeing that connection grow is a daily reminder of how incredibly blessed we are.

I can’t imagine our family journey without you by our side. We hit the jackpot. Happy Father’s Day! 🤍

Scenes from home 🏡. These garden roses are bringing me so much joy that they needed a permanent spot on the feed. World Cup on, Knicks in the finals, and fresh flowers—what more could a gal ask for in one day?! (And honestly, I’m not usually a yellow person, but these are changing my mind). 💛 by @summer.wick

A moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate. ✨ Everyone loves a little before and after right?!

We are nowhere near the finish line. There are so many more projects to tackle on this house. But today, I’m looking at how far this kitchen has come.

When we first saw it, we knew it could be something special. We revamped the entire space on a budget by using what we had, keeping the original layout, and saving the cabinets.

What we actually did:

- Removed drop ceilings (gaining over a foot of height!)

- Added custom boxing on top of the cabinets

- Ripped out FIVE layers of flooring

- Attempted to level out a massive hump in the floor from a build out probably from the 1970’s

- Laid down fresh LVP flooring (might redo this one day with tile)

- Expanded a doorway and added new light fixtures and recessed lighting

- Painted the original cabinets, removed a few others and replaced the hardware

- Sourced new appliances, a new sink, and a faucet

- Installed beautiful quartz countertops

Were mistakes made? Hell yeah they were. But that’s how these projects go—we learn by doing. Now, I walk into this room and just feel peace. It’s functional, cozy, and completely ours. 🛠️💛

P.S. I’m obsessed with our new (old) hutch we just scored on marketplace! 😍 by @summer.wick

Happy 15th Birthday to our favorite human! 🥳✨

From navigating freshman year with highest honors to crushing it on the track and ski teams, you take on every new challenge with so much grace and a killer sense of humor. ⛷️🏃‍♀️💨 We are so proud of the way you’ve conquered a big new school like a total champ!

Whether you’re getting lost in the Trials of Apollo, obsessing over Greek mythology, or finding the perfect shot through your camera lens, your creativity blows us away. 📖⚡️📸 Seeing your animated creations and watching you dance (and bounce off the walls!) in your room makes our hearts so full. 🎨💃

You might be 15, but we love that you’re still a kid at heart who jams to “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride” and is always down for a day at the water park. 🏄‍♂️🌺 Braces are off, that gorgeous smile is shining brighter than ever, and we can’t wait to celebrate at Six Flags soon! 🎢🍦

You truly light up every room you walk into. We love you all the way to Pluto and back, times infinity! 🌌🪐💖

Happy birthday Milly Moo! 🥳🎂🎉

Happy 54th to my favorite travel partner! ✈️ From roots in Portland to this beautiful life we’ve built in Upstate NY, I’m still in awe of the journey we’re on.

Whether we’re counting down the days until we’re back on the beach in Mexico or finding peace at our cabin in the Adirondacks, there is truly no one else I’d rather do life with. You bring so much joy into our lives, and your sense of humor keeps us laughing even if you merely get an “ehhh”.

Milly and I are the luckiest to spend all of our days with you. Here’s to 54, a year of new memories, and maybe a few more stamps in the passport! I love you to Pluto and back. 🥂🎂🏔️🏝️ by @summer.wick

The other Portland. Our New England adventure ended in this incredible city. We may of pulled up the Zillow app a few times on our two day trip to Portland - I mean it’s us, would you expect anything else?

We walked and walked and walked some more. Did I mention we got our walking game on? We walked along the harbor, saw live lobster 🦞, we went to the Art Museum (really manageable and top notch - Renoir, Homer, Monet, Rodin, Picasso - so many greats), saw the lighthouse, ate some insanely yummy food and just took it all in. Portland is charmingly coastal, walkable, food centric and friendly, we are already planning our next trip back. by @summer.wick

The Bow Hotel needed its own post. This hotel was pure magic. We had a little hiccup with our check in (unexpected breaks happen, as an Airbnb host I totally get this) but it all worked out. We spent the day walking the downtown area of Portsmouth and the checked in to our hotel - it’s all done via text and email - it’s contactless and easy peasy. We walked into our suite and gasped. The thoughtful details of this hotel were top notch. From the suite aspect with a couch, desk and coffee table to the amazing nite sleep we got on the comfiest king size bed ever! It was all perfection.

You can tell these rooms were intentionally designed for those that admire the details. The light fixtures, the tiling, the modern shaped dresser and a walk in closet - all appreciated. They also had a shared communal space with coffee, a fridge stocked with specialty drinks - it was convenient and not too community if you know what I mean ;) And no this is not an ad, just a personal reaction to the experience that I wanted to have it live permanently in these squares.

If you’re visiting Portsmouth, I would definitely recommend a stop over here.

Portsmouth, NH. I wasn’t sure what to expect from NH, I thought, that’s an interesting motto for a state, “ Live free or die”. But there was more to it than that. From the White mountains, to the granite state, it sure is charming.

We walked the streets of Portsmouth in awe of its history, architecture and ease. Portsmouth is one of the nation’s oldest ports, it was New Hampshire’s first capital and is rich in Colonial, Georgian, and Federal-style buildings. It definitely has a thriving arts and culinary scene.

We stayed in a fabulous boutique hotel called @thebowhotel . It was super cute with thoughtful details throughout and super convenient to all the things. We ate at 5 Star Thai Bistro and it was delicious! I’m always a sucker for a curry when I can find it vegan and it did not disappoint. We were only here for one night and just scratched the surface. Next time we’ll stay a little longer 😊. by @summer.wick

Brattleboro, VT was cute. She’s not a very big town, but she gave us ample places to explore. We walked the downtown - took in all the cute shops, restaurants, the theater - all the things. It was a Sunday evening, so most things were closed, but it was fun nonetheless.

A highlight was where we chose to have dinner. We walked in and were greeted with kindness at @veganafvt . We perused the menu (it was hard to make a decision) and I ordered the polenta bowl with broccolini, white beans and vegan sausage, while Brandon basked in his love affair with Swedish meatballs and lingonberry sauce. In case you couldn’t tell from the name of the establishment, it’s entirely vegan and plant based. It was a must on my list while we were in town and it did not disappoint.

What a great way to start our little trip. New England is so charming!! by @summer.wick

Brandon and I are off on a little New England road trip adventure. Milly took the train to PA (all by herself - it felt like a monumental moment, I may of shed a tear ;) to spend her spring back with her Nana (thanks Mom!) So it’s just the two of us - we are treasuring this time together.

Our first stop was in Brattleboro, VT. We didn’t realize that one of the highlights would be staying in this charming little airbnb, but it truly made for some good memories. It may be small but it sure did pack a punch. From the pops of yellow, ample hooks on the walls, all the kitchen essentials you could need, the thoughtful and intentional design choices, the schoolhouse light fixtures, a gorgeous vintage tub, a comfy bed, an impromptu solo stove session and just an all around delightful experience - this place and host, @luciamagee , are total gems 💎! Can’t wait to come back one day 😊 by @summer.wick

It’s been 20 years since I had a house warming party with my awesome roommates, @johnetchberger and @minoliecece . And that night, @brandonwick rolled up with his bestie @mysensiblesweater . They took the subway, got off at the wrong stop and had quite the journey to my Harlem apartment, but they made it. We danced, we drank, we laughed the night away. Our apartment was like an MTV cribs apartment (no lie, it was amazing) and it was filled with so many people - It was an AWESOME party.

Then my friend @brooke_ahles decided to play match maker, as she knew I had a secret (maybe not so secret) crush on Brandon (we all worked together). One thing led to another and Brandon asked if we could talk alone for a minute, and from that moment on, we never stopped talking.

20 years is an accomplishment, sometimes it’s easy and sometimes it’s not. But we put in the work and love each other through it all. I can’t imagine doing life with anyone else. Cheers to us and all that we have done together over these 20 years!

From buying houses, living and traveling abroad, moving cross country twice, raising a cool kiddo, spending as much time as we can with our family both in PA and WA, encouraging each other to try new things, bike rides, hikes, family dinners, repeating stories, belly laughing, teaching me how to ski because we’re a ski family now, tackling all the house projects, buying our first snow blower, losing parents, declaring we are film buffs, eating our way through upstate NY, building Hugelkulturs, making new friends, lugging candles around for me from market to market, listening to my endless ideas, mastering the art of the burrito wrap, soaking ourselves in our wood fired hot tub, snow shoeing in our backyard, drinking too much with our ADK family, wood stove sessions, Camp get smart, Baja life and most of all, just believing in ourselves and that we got this. No matter where we are, as long as we’re together, we’re home. Happy 20 years my love and cheers to many more!!

P.S. These are photos from our 1st year living together in NYC. We strolled through Marcus Garvey park. We were trying to be all artsy with our photography and I think it may of worked 🤷‍♀️ by @summer.wick

I’m not sure how 5 years has gone by, but here we are. Five years ago, I lost my ROCK, my foundation, my compass, a person that could bring me to tears with just a hug because I knew I would be OK in his arms - my Dad. Today always hits hard as it’s a reminder of all the moments and new memories that you haven’t been a part of. It still feels unreal sometimes, like a dream. I wasn’t able to be with you as you passed, I was far away and at times it allows me to disconnect because it almost feels like it’s not real, it didn’t happen, like I am still living in Portland, OR and I’ll come home and you’ll be there. But, I know that’s not going to happen, but a huge part of me continues to wish for that, like it’s my favorite holiday movie I play over in my mind - the daughter comes home and the Dad is at the door to hug her with an ugly Christmas sweater on.

I miss your laugh - goodness your laugh, it was slightly devilish with a twist of unfiltered bliss. I replay a message on my phone just so I can remember the sound of your voice. I pull up photos to remember your crooked smile and your big solid belly. I try to dance like no one is looking just like you did. I try to take risks and live a life of adventure, just as you did when you were young. Thank you for showing me what love looks like and what I deserve. I just miss you so damn much. Your love is healing - it healed me and made me a better person, and for that, you will always be with me. I love you Dad.

P.S. I hope you are getting a good round of golf ⛳️ in today. by @summer.wick
