@thequeensofcups presents✨co-created by: @grace_o_keefe @blueeyedhag @muta_bel 🪄

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

LAST LONDON SHOW: October 1st at the Phoenix Arts Club! Get your ticket now, it’s going to be a great one featuring a Sondheim inspired cabaret afterwards.

A summoning tonight! Five-Star EdFringe hit Summoning Sondheim is a musical comedy séance, in which Grace O’Keefe (Best Newcomer Musical Comedy Awards ’24, owner of Sondheim’s tarot cards) and Jordana Belaiche (West End: Jane in Disney’s Mary Poppins, Little Cosette in Les Misérables) summon Stephen Sondheim to save musical theatre, and therefore, the world. After hit runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, Seven Dials Playhouse, and the Glitch, Summoning Sondheim is returning to London before it heads to 54 Below.

Co-written by Jordana and Grace with original music by Grace (plus an occasional Sondheim parody), and directed and developed by Bel Parker, the show is a vehicle for elevating new womxn voices in musical theatre while venerating Sondheim’s legacy. Each show features special guests and this special night at the Phoenix Arts Club will feature a cabaret following the show of songs written by emerging womxn Musical Theatre writers and Sondheim.

Goodbye bye @summoningsondheim! Thanks to everyone who attended our last London show @phoenixartsclub last Wednesday and gave this stupendously silly show a brilliant send off. I shan’t be accompanying the show to NYC when it makes its OFF BROADWAY DEBUT but am leaving the leading light that is Lillian Wynne/Channelle Marie in the very soft and capable hands of Rebecca Kent @rebex.kent who I know will take very very good care of them on that big bad Off-Broadway stage. If you’re not in New York you, like me, can watch the Livestream from @54below at some time in the wee hours of the night! ✨We’ve gone through so many grieving processes on this show since we started a mere year and a half ago so I’ll spare you another here but oh so many thanks to my Co-writer, producer, performer and mystic @grace_o_keefe , Herr Director & god @muta_bel, MD @eliza.dawson , costume mistress @rohelineivy, choreographer @clea_godsill , tech/associate producer @jakevenet and all of the many many many many many many many venues who let us perform séance in the guise of new musical theatre and all of you who kept coming to conjure and summon Stephan Songstream✨ by @summoningsondheim

Chaos from Wednesday night @phoenixartsclub

I think I need to save the soppy post for later, but it was a very fittingly unhinged last London outing of @summoningsondheim 🔮😭💖

I love literally every single person who was there (including you @realsondheim 😚) thank you to every person who has made this show so magical

See you in a few weeks @54below ✨ taken in Phoenix Arts Club by @summoningsondheim
