I have a few openings for new students for this term, so if you’ve always wanted to learn how to play mantra on harmonium, guitar, ukelele or just with your voice, here’s your chance!

No matter your level of experience, we can find a way together to bring more beautiful mantra and chanting music into your life.

Whether you want to play for your own personal practice and enjoyment, or you aspire to leading your own kirtan, learning how to play this type of music is more than just learning chords and words. It’s about presence. It’s about vibration. Developing the ability to play from the heart with ease and grace is much more important than technical prowess.

I've been teaching for 10 years now and leading kirtan for 20 years. I can show you the way.

Do you love kirtan?

Feel like deepening your understanding of kirtan and mantra music?

Would you like to get more involved in actually playing kirtan?

Or are you someone who would just love to spend a day soaking up the kirtan vibes?

This kirtan immersion workshop is just what you’ve been looking for!

Musical experience is not required, but if you play, you are invited to bring along your instrument.

A whole day of singing together, sharing ideas and connecting with our lovely kirtan community.

Sun Hyland is your facilitator, bringing many years of teaching and kirtan experience to take you deep on an immersive kirtan journey. Our assistant teacher is Jessica Lyons, a beautiful vocalist and harmonium player with years of kirtan experience.

Delicious and nutritious lunch and snacks will be provided by Sun’s kitchen. Plant based, GF and abundant- a real treat!

This will be an intimate affair, limited to just 10 dedicated participants and 4 crew. We’re keeping it small so that each person will get focused attention, but just big enough to create some real kirtan vibes.

The day will unfold with a mixture of groupwork, movement and discussion, with LOTS of kirtan. Those of you who have been developing your own kirtan skills will have an opportunity to lead the group, work with other musicians and get valuable feedback.

This is the ninth Kirtan Immersion, and the first to be hosted in Sun’s own purpose built studio. Each Immersion so far has been a beautiful unfolding of creativity and connection. The evolution we can achieve in one day working together is quite incredible!

The studio is located in Chewton, next to Castlemaine, less than 1.5 hours from Melbourne)

A–Z Program Whispers: Part Three, The Finale

A final peek at the collection of the healing arts that will be available to you through practice or conversation at Golden Wellness Festival 2026.

We now have over 50 wellness practitioners, studios and product makers joining us on the day, offering introductory sessions, panel discussions, deep-work guided workshops and hands-on restorative practices.

On Saturday night 15/8/2026 I had an incredible opportunity to lead a Kundalini mantra meditation and play harmonium during at Sun Hyland's Kirtan night Kundalini House - Yoga, Massage and Acupuncture!!!
