📣BIG ANNOUNCEMENT📣

Byrdhouse Records (@byrdhouserecords) presents Midrift (@midriftofficial) with local support from Senior Living (@seniorliving.music) and Sunbloc (@sunblocband ) on October 27th at No Fun (@nofunshows) in Troy, NY.

Tickets will be available on Friday 9/18 at 10AM at nofuntroy.eventbrite.com. $20 (+ Eventbrite Fees) Advance/ $25 at the Door. Ages 18+ (or under with legal guardian) and Valid ID. No Fun- 275 River Street, Troy, NY.

One of the most exciting, and youngest, voices in alternative rock and shoegaze, Midrift return with their latest single “over anything” alongside the announcement of their debut album Silhouette, set for release on June 5th. Over the past few years, Gus Mehrkam (vocals, guitar), Manoa Neukermans (bass) and Kai Neukermans (drums), have built undeniable momentum as Midrift. Their breakout tracks “Twin Flames” and “Unrequited” (200M across the catalogue) surged online resonating with a new generation of listeners. Gus, Manoa, and Kai grew up
together in the Bay Area, skating and playing music in other bands before forming Midrift in 2023. After extensive touring in 2025, which included pivotal festival plays at Sound and Fury and their hometown festival Outside Lands, the band will be supporting Angel Du$t and julie / Fleshwater on tour this Spring before heading off to perform in Europe this summer at Best Kept Secret Festival in the Netherlands and Rock For The People Festival in Czech Republic. taken in No Fun by @sunblocband

While there are many phonies that insert themselves into our temple of rock, Sunbloc has come back to highlight some real deal capital region rockers. It’s been a minute since the Sunbloc crew put together a quality rock n roll gig and this one is NOT TO BE MISSED. We threw a massive gig together to celebrate @classictrafficsucks coming through Albany. Much love to @albanysjc for hosting 🩶🕊️

Coming together around music to escape the stress of school, three Johns Hopkins students formed a band that would go on to do shows all over the country, and even the world, and play alongside rock legends. Pinkshift described their music as heavily influenced by what each of them listens to, which includes My Chemical Romance, Turnstile, Knocked Loose and Deftones.

This show is part of a special tour celebrating the five year anniversary of Saccharine. Stoked to loop our pals Sunbloc in the mix. Pollyanna just added. Gig keeps getting better. This is going to be a rager. Get your ticket before it sells out.

We’re trying something a little different for this one.

If you buy your @bigdandthekidstable / @devonkayandthesolutions ticket in advance, you’ll get into a free pre-show at the @co.op.wv (just a few doors up from the club). The pre-show features @sweetheartgripwv, @growblindband (IN), and @sunblocband (Albany, NY).

Pre-show doors are at 5:00, music starts at 5:30, and Big D doors at 123 Pleasant Street open at 8:00.

No Big D ticket? No worries. You can still come to the pre-show for $10 at the door.

Come early and make a full night of it.
