”Cellophane Garden” might be the best song we’ve ever written. We did a thorough pre-production in our home studio, and then we went to Iceland to look for something special as the finishing touch. taken in Iceland by @sundlaugin

Today we release our third and final single before the full album drops 25th September 💥

It's named "Maggi" and is a tribute to one of the main persons from our last journey to Iceland.
With Icelandic boheme and a calm cheerfull mind, Magnùs Trygvason Eliassen helped gathering all guests on the record and at the same time shared his wonderful drumming on several of the tracks.
Thanks Magnùs!

Find link in bio.

‘Everyone left’ is 1 years old!🎂
Birthday journal post 1/2📓.

Exactly 2 years ago we went into @sundlaugin studio with Árni Hjörvar (@arnihjorvar) and spent 2 days to record new songs with the full band.

There had been some line-up changes since we had last been in the studio, with our beloved Jón Þorsteinsson and Ragnar Jón Hrólfsson joining us full time on bass and drums.

We also had our lovely Alison MacNeil (@kimonomatopoeia) join us on guitar for the album, she had become a part of the band and helped us write and record many of the songs on the album.

We had a great time in Sundlaugin and are so happy with how ‘Everyone left’ turned out and thankful to @reykjavikrecordshop for releasing it on vinyl and for everyone who has listened 💚 taken in sundlaugin studio by @sundlaugin

Making of Soft Atlas, part 4.

Soft Atlas was recorded @sundlaugin in Iceland. We ate many pizzas, performed dozens of instruments (harmonium being one of our favourites) and decided to extend our stay in the island. After the trip we noticed the vocal tracks were still missing. What would a small band from Finland do? Record them in a wardrobe and cherish the memories of inspiring locations.

Thanks for watching this four-part mini-documentary about making of Soft Atlas.

Making of Soft Atlas, part 2.

At Sundlaugin we teamed up with Birgir Jón Birgisson. Before the session we made a detailed pre-production plan in Finland, but we didn’t want to follow it precisely. When recording the electric guitars, Biggi convinced us to lean on multiple guitar layers instead of one big guitar track, latter being the trick that felt fresh when we were making our previous album Picture of a Good Life. The most used guitar on Soft Atlas is @sundlaugin’s custom-built sunburst Jaguar featured in the end of the video, and the most used drum kit is the @candcdrumseurope in the beginning of the video.

Making of Soft Atlas, part 1.

In March 2023, we headed to Iceland for a recording session. The rugged surroundings and Reykjavík’s laid-back charm stole our hearts and brought something we’d been looking for but didn’t know about to the creative process. The days flew by @sundlaugin, probably the most inspiring studio we’ve been to.
