Working on a @laufey record is nothing but awe-inspiring! With her immense talents for writing, singing and playing every darn instrument! Her and @spencer_stewart have such a wonderful way of writing and producing music that is timeless, daring and tips the hat to tradition and then surprises you with the future!

They always want to push the envelope and so on this record we experimented with recording to tape, using some plates and chamber verbs (ala chamber #2 @sunsetsoundrecorders thanks #zackzajdel), and recording orchestra - one overdub at a time in Sunset’s Studio 2.

So honored to be a part of this creative team and so excited for this new piece of magic to make its way out into the world.

Shoutout to @holdmycoat @jckiekarlsson @maddysmart @foundations aarondessner @lucysmeatmarket @eastweststudios and the many amazing musicians not tagged here. taken in Los Angeles, California by @sunkingstudios

What a time! So happy for the successes of @thelastrepairshop @bgproudfoot @krisbowersmusic and all of the passionate people involved in the making of this touching documentary! As a LAUSD kid who came up playing music in school, I was quite starstruck seeing the repair people from the film walking around the Oscar party! I’m pretty sure some of them were the actual ones fixing the instruments I played as a kid! Please help our future LAUSD kids and donate if you can! @katya.richardson and @krisbowersmusic it was such a pleasure working with you two on this heartfelt score! I feel so lucky to have played a small part in the making of this powerful work! by @sunkingstudios

The Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed series original music soundtrack on @appletv is officially out today, right on time with the season finale (it’s juicy)! This album showcases some of my favorite moments of the show. Thank you to @rosenator4000 who was down to sonically push extremes and create a bold, unique, intense score. We strived to create exciting sounds different of other thriller shows. Thank you to @gillygong and @sunkingstudios for your exceptional mixes. @jjwiesler at @weareplatoon for mastering. @jsmuck @weareplatoon for the support. @cochemea for flute sprinkles, @ignabu for drum metal madness, and to the exceptional cast and crew that inspired a creatively fun score to make #maximumpleasureguaranteed #MPG #totheMAX by @sunkingstudios

So excited to share that @laufey has four stunning songs in the new film @bigboldbeautifuljourney

In awe of the gorgeous tunes @laufey and @spencer_stewart created and performed—especially the all-time, emotional delivery of “But Beautiful.” Most of these lush chamber-orchestra moments were recorded at Spencer’s studio with an incredible group of musicians: @ryanshawdrums @tedcasemusic @halrosenfeld @wineaboutmusic #marciadickstein @katisse @rob_schaer
