A huge congratulations to our CEO, Keely Siddiqui-Charlick on being awarded her MBE. Your dedication and leadership have truly made a difference in our community. This honor is a testament to your tireless commitment and we are incredibly grateful for your vision and hard work!

Keely says: “I am unbelievably proud to accept an MBE for supporting people with learning differences to find their brilliance and independence. Sunnyside Rural Trust is an incredible organisation and as a team we have built something truly empowering and a positive force in this world. 5 years ago, we were the recipients of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (now known as The King’s Award for Voluntary Service). This week we celebrated this honour!

Volunteers and corporate supporters were invited to Hemel Food Garden to join us in celebrating on Wednesday. Attendees had the chance to connect with our sites and services about current and future projects, hearing heartfelt speeches from our Director of Care & Day Opportunities Gill Forward and Deputy CEO Emma Power, alongside Volunteer Manager Paula. We were so happy to have Deputy Lieutenant Liz Green attend on behalf of the Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire Robert Voss, who gave a passionate speech about the impact that volunteers have on organisations such as ours 💚

We were also delighted to award some of our brilliant volunteers with long-service awards!

To finish off the celebration, we had the wonderful @electricbrolly do a fantastic performance for us which had everyone joining in.

Thank you to all who made this event so special. We are incredibly proud to be highly recognised for our positive impact on our community. Our volunteers are incredible and contribute so much to our organisation. We are so grateful for you! by @sunnysiderural

The Orchard Nursery is a unique and innovative site positioned at Serge Hill, supporting adults with learning differences and other vulnerable needs.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about their work and shares our values 💚

The role is centred on creating a positive and progressive trainee experience supported through horticultural planning, the delivery of engaging activities and courses, and effective communication and collaboration across teams & external partners.

Hemel Food Garden is a busy work environment and runs a lot of different types of training and work activities. It is an exciting place to work, offering people a real chance to gain skills and build self-esteem alongside the opportunity to work.

The Deputy Manager will be responsible for supporting the effective daily management and administration of Hemel Food Garden, including trainee support, operational coordination, stock systems, off-site contracts and site organisation.

We are looking for a Senior Project Worker - Produce Lead to join our thriving Northchurch site!

This is an exciting opportunity for somebody with horticultural experience and a love of growing food to take the lead in developing and maintaining productive growing spaces.

Alongside planning, growing and harvesting a wide variety of produce, you will be supporting adults with learning differences to develop their practical skills, confidence and independence through horticultural activities. by @sunnysiderural
