If you’ve received work from me lately, you’ve probably heard me share where I’m transitioning my energy into as I move forward in my tattoo career. After countless hours of in depth conversations, navigating complex and challenging circumstances, offering hope and healing through listening and shared stories, I’ve felt an undeniable pull toward offering tattoo as a sacred space. This year, I am leaning into my intuitive gifts and offering a different kind of tattoo session- one focused on specifically moving beyond limiting beliefs and embracing the most authentic version of yourself. With each ceremonial intuitive session, we see dive into your astrology and utilize tarot alongside understanding your natal chart to illuminate themes and patterns, to provide insight into the design process. Intuitive imagery can come from many places- dreams, seemingly coincidental patterns in nature, words or phrases that keep coming to mind. Let me design a talisman to accompany you on your journey, and remind you to learn to love yourself more each day.

Ten years of life together this summer, it could never be enough.❤️ If you’ve been here for the duration of my career, you know this creature has been a central part of my life. As Roxie has grown older, I have become acutely aware of the finite amount of time we have together in this life. Tears come to my eyes as I make this, I feel so grateful for the years we get to share. What a gift her presence has been through it all. 💞 taken in Washington by @sunraetattoos

Recent works✨ I’ve been finishing up some long term, large scale projects recently and it is such a bittersweet process! Seeing a design through to the final details can be absolutely fulfilling, and then I take my photos, wrap it up and look up at the friend I’ve made over many months of sessions filled with getting to know someone who used to be a stranger deeply, holding sometimes challenging, sometimes joyful energetic space. I consider myself incredibly lucky, and I know I say it often- I’m just so grateful and humbled. Currently, I have customs booked for the remainder of this year, and this month I have on my first intuitive tattooing sessions. What a joy it is to share what excites me! Bringing tarot and intuitive imagery into my work is just the beginning, these sessions are going to level up my practice into an energy I so look forward to sharing. Thank you, thank you, to those who open up and trust me in this process.🤍

A personal update, after a very quiet couple of years.

Recovering from the upheavals of my life that have occurred has taken time, reflection and solitude. A clarity of purpose and direction has settled firmly in my soul. As I’m sure anyone who has payed attention has noticed, I’m shifting big things in my work and creative practices.

Two years ago my stagnancy was interrupted. I have been on a journey of understanding my inner world and shifting to experience more of the joy of life, and the abrupt ending of a relationship and life trajectory became the catalyst for a significant transformation.

Stepping in to my own authenticity, I hope to show the way. Back to being ourselves, back to trusting our intuition, back to living out our greatest passions and experience the fullness of life when living in aligned action with purpose and knowing.

✨As a reminder✨ my books for intuitive and custom bookings are open only until this FRIDAY May 15th at 10am! Here are some recent works that I’m either working on or have completed, that I truly enjoyed creating. This doesn’t begin to even show how much work has been going on behind the scenes, how many wonderful interactions, and the level of gratitude I have for the trust I’m given.

I have been leaning more fully into designing by intuition, letting the surreal come through, infusing my work with channeled imagery. These are some examples of what that looks like, in this open and liberating space. As I move away from compulsively trying to perfect scientific illustration, I can’t wait to continue sharing the new and exciting journey that I’m navigating with my style shift and energetic practices in tandem with this healing ritual!

Closeups of a work in progress, some unfinished details of a tattoo project that illustrates the daydream of Crosby, an adventurous cat with a particular appreciation for the critters of the neighborhood. This piece has been a collaboration of whimsical imagery and wildlife illustration, and we will be incorporating some color as well to finish up. Truthfully, Crosby and I have a lot in common… except that I’m more exclusively an observer of birds, if you know what I mean.

Have you been dreaming of your next tattoo? I haven’t opened my book since last July, and as I prepare for new custom and intuitive inquiries, I am so excited for the possibility of working together in collaboration to design meaningful work.

I’ve spent the last five years as a translator, bringing the ideas of my clients to life in a visual format. As I step into a new method of working, I’m filled with curiosity about all the ways we can work together, both with imagery that feels important to you, as well as allowing space for anything else that comes up during our session.

✨I’m starting a new series✨
Where I feature more about my design and tattoo process, showcasing some of the large-scale, long term projects I’ve been working on. Hearing your stories and what has led to each of these projects has been so incredibly meaningful, I cherish the opportunity to hold sacred space for each of these sessions.

This week I’m featuring a project I designed with a client for their transition into midwifery, including a coiled umbilical cord that transforms into the body and head of a snake. The snake represents a reference to healing, wisdom, medicine, justice. Saying yes to engaging with the fear & beauty of birth work. Intertwined with the uterine contractant herbs Angelica and blue cohosh, honoring the magic of intentional pregnancy termination and safe childbearing.

My client brought in objects and artifacts for their altar, setting the tone for each session. Over the course of three sessions, we collaborated on this unique tattoo project, sharing anecdotes and life experiences along the way. Thank you for bringing me into your journey, it is an honor.💖
