We love our members!

The weather has officially changed with temperatures dropping, and we definitely felt it at run club yesterday! A huge shout out to our members who continue to show up and support us, but also support their fitness goals!

Yesterday was a chilly one and while it’s only going to get colder we still want to promote running and being active through the fall and winter. Big announcement coming this evening on how to do just that!

Join the YMCA of Klamath Falls for a frightfully fun morning at Moore Park on Saturday, October 24! Whether you’re chasing a new 5K time, walking with friends and family, or just looking for an excuse to break out your best Halloween costume, we’d love to have you join us.

“The third annual Tater Trot 5k run will be held in Merrill, OR on Saturday October 17th, 2026 as part of the Klamath Basin Potato Festival. This year’s race will start at 8:00 AM and check-in will begin at 7:15 at 415 N Main St, Merrill, OR 97633. We had 63 participants last year, and we are trying to beat that number this year. Register today at the link below, and don’t forget to check last year’s results to give you something to shoot for as you are training this year!”

SURPRISE!!!!

LeRae and I were able to make it to yesterday’s run club to celebrate Victor! Even though his birthday was two weeks ago we couldn’t let it pass without giving him a party!🥳

We also got to meet some new members and learn more about the people in Sunshine & Miles! Victor will be leading run club for one more week so don’t miss this upcoming Sunday!

Hey y’all! Big news!

Due to some of our crazy schedules this month, we are trying something new! We are hosting another day of run club during the month of September. This new day will be on Tuesdays, with the exception of this week which will be meeting tonight at 6pm at Moore Park.

Don’t worry we will still be meeting on Sundays, but Victor will be leading those meet ups. If you have been looking to join us now is the time, we will be following this schedule all month long and we can’t wait for you to join us!

LeRae and I are on our way to our first legs of Hood to Coast! We’ll keep you updated, but we are projected to reach Seaside tomorrow around 11:00am.

Hey y’all! Some big news for run club this weekend. LeRae and I are currently out of town gearing up to run Hood to Coast, which means we will have a sub run club leader.

Everyone say hi to Victor!🥳
Victor has agreed to lead run club while we are away and we couldn’t be more excited. It will still be the same loop and pace groups, but Victor is just coming to our rescue while we are both gone!

Join us this Sunday at 09:00am at Moore Park. We meet where the old gingerbread house used to be!

Hey y’all! I’m so excited to share that the Klamath County Association of Realtors is putting on their 3rd annual Color Run! Here’s all you need to know if you are interested in running this race!

Tickets are $20 pre-sale or $25 the day of the event. (Please sign up by 9/14 to ensure correct tee shirt size.) Entry fee includes tee shirt, swag bag with goodies, individual color packet, water & color throughout the event!

All proceeds will be donated to the Klamath County Animal Shelter.

I just want to put out a thank you to everyone who has joined Sunshine and Miles and keeps coming back! Due to work I’ve missed the last 2 weeks of run club, so while we have some new members I appreciate everyone who has given us a chance!

If you are looking for a run club or just want to try something new we are here for you. We meet every Sunday @ 9:00am, at Moore Park behind where the old gingerbread house used to be. All paces are welcome and we even have a walking group, so don’t be afraid to join us!

Here’s a throwback to two weeks ago when we partnered with @saltstick to have some of our members try their FastChews hydration tablets!
