Featured Artist Interview

Hi! I’m Sam, a tattoo artist based in Boorloo (Perth), specialising in geometric, mandala and fine line tattoos. I’ve been tattooing since 2018 and am the co-owner of Wild Horses Tattoo Studio, where creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for both artists and clients is something I’m incredibly passionate about.

Outside of tattooing, you’ll usually find me at the gym, out for a run, at the beach or curled up with a good book or listening to a true crime podcast. I’m a Leo sun, Cancer moon and Gemini rising. I love singing my heart out in the car, dancing around the studio, bright colours, collecting little trinkets and stopping to pat every dog I see!

Mandala above the knee to decorate Wendy’s leg!

This piece didn’t come out even remotely similar to the reference images Wendy originally sent me but like always, she was happy to trust me and let me do my thing! 🕺🪩✨

See yourself with something similar? Appointments for the rest of 2026 are limited. Send me an email to book in NOW or miss out!! 😉💌

Mandala shin piece for Harmony!!

Every year, my client Harmony gets a tattoo for her birthday! This year, she told me to ‘create something I would have fun tattooing’ and this is what I came up with!! 🎈🍰
Thank you always for the trust and great chats! 🩷

The flower of life pattern in this design really scratches an ITCH in my brain. 🧠🤭 So, if you’re keen on a tattoo like this… my books are OPEN! 💌

I had the pleasure of doing this mandala / floral piece for Harmony’s forearm on Friday! Thank you for trusting me with the design, I can’t wait to work on your cover-up tattoo in a few weeks! 💫

This is probably one of my favourite placements to tattoo so if you’re in the market for a fun tattoo on your wrist, forearm, upper arm (or a full sleeve 🤭), my books are open!! 💌
