This month marks five years of Superhouse!

From our first 100-square-foot gallery to our home on Walker Street, we’ve built a program around art furniture and radical craft—bringing artists working today into conversation with earlier generations who challenged how objects could be made, used, and understood.

This anniversary is a moment to revisit the exhibitions and ideas that have shaped the gallery.

To our artists, collectors, curators, collaborators, and everyone who has visited an exhibition or followed along from afar: thank you for being part of these first five years. Your support has made this milestone possible.

We look forward to sharing what comes next.

Congratulations to Sean Gerstley, one of 28 finalists selected from more than 1,000 applications across 41 countries for the sixth Officine Saffi Award, an international prize dedicated to contemporary ceramics.

Sean’s Forgiveness Zephyr is now on view in Forms of Belonging at Fondazione Officine Saffi in Milan through November 13, 2026. The exhibition explores belonging through our relationships with communities, places, and memory.

Today is the last day of Homo Faber (@homofaber) in Venice. It’s been a pleasure working with the team to bring works by Lewis Prosser and Sean Gerstley to this year’s edition.

Congratulations to Lewis and Sean, and thank you to everyone who visited and spent time with their work. We’re proud to see their distinct approaches to material and making presented on this international stage.

A bowl dressed for a night of raving.

In Joël Brodovsky-Adams’s (splash) bowl, the familiar vessel erupts into an exuberant gathering of wheel-thrown forms. Its painterly finish—marbled yellows and oranges cut through with acid green and deep brown stripes—seems to pulse across the sculpture. Both bowl and body, it feels caught mid-dance.
