📣 Join Us for a Deep Dive into Safety! 🌊

Our NYC freediving community recently came together to evaluate safety protocols, discuss the need for accessible education and standards, and advocate for the legalization of breathhold competitions locally.

Hosted by Nicole and moderated by the Philly Merman Louis Marinucci, this stream dives deep into a recent LMC incident to identify areas for improvement. Special Guest Gareth Lock from The Human Diver shares invaluable insights on building a culture of safety. 🐠

Community members, including lifeguard Leo and Dive Medic Chris Ciccotelli, also share their perspectives. #SpitTheSnorkel 🤿🙅‍♀️ Snorkels are great for the surface, but DON'T belong in your mouth underwater! And yes, we know you see photos of people doing it all the time. Repeat after me - snorkels are NOT to be used for funneling liquid 😆🤭
