⚡️What are artist run galleries and spaces, and why do they matter?⚡
✨ They are often small, scrappy, and collaborative spaces held together by care, shared labor, member support, donations, and community. (like we are!) They don't exist just show work but to talk about art, give the space to try things out, share resources, start conversations, and offer the kind of creative support that keeps artists going. We are proud to be apart of this tradition!
-
⚡️Artist run spaces matter because they give artists room to build something outside of the usual systems, along with making art more accessible for all!
-
✨Small spaces can have a big impact.
✨ Support artist run spaces!

We are excited for @aherbst100 - Alicia Herbst's artist talk 🔶 *this Thursday* 🔶October 1 at 7:00 PM 🔶Join us and learn more about *SERIALITY* her current work in the gallery.
We’ll hear about the ideas behind the work and how its individual pieces come together to tell larger stories about memory, culture, and everyday life. Through repetition and collage, the exhibition brings overlooked moments, actions, and objects into focus.

🔶Take a look at the work in the second photo, then come see it in person and join the conversation.🔶

This Saturday!

Join us for the opening reception of VARIED EFFECTS, our first-ever duo exhibition with @aherbst100 @denise_m_devore .

Featuring new work by a.herbst and denise deVore, Varied Effects brings together two distinct artistic practices in conversation. While one artist approaches repetition through collage and structure, the other explores memory, color, and atmosphere through encaustic monoprints. Together, the exhibition reveals how different methods can arrive at unexpectedly connected ideas.

📅 Opening Reception
Saturday, September 12
4–7 PM

🖼 On View
September 12 – October 3, 2026
Thursday–Monday | 12–5 PM

📍Super Secret Projects
484 Main Street (behind Hyperbole)
Beacon, NY

We hope you’ll join us to celebrate the artists, explore the work, and kick off our fall exhibition season.

Join us this Thursday, September 3 from 7–9pm for an Artist Talk for our current show, Out of Office. Enjoy an evening of conversation with featured artists from the exhibition as they share more about their work, their ideas, and the many ways we find (or make) our own little escapes.

Come hear what happens behind the artwork, ask some questions, and spend an evening with the artists who helped us step outside the usual rhythm.

A vacation doesn’t always require a plane ticket.

Sometimes it’s a daydream.
Sometimes it’s a detour.
Sometimes it’s making something completely different.
Sometimes it’s just stepping away.

Out of Office brings together artists considering what it means to make space for escape, rest, fantasy, refusal, and time that belongs entirely to you.
