POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

well,

if you were there on Friday, you can pat yourself on the back for being part of the most feral crowd we've summoned to date.
There are ghosts in that club, and they always get off the chair for Supertouch.
@exitglasgow

A catharsis, a genuine, unobserved, raw, messy looseness, *is techno*. If you feel you have to dress a certain way, dance a certain way, that you're being watched, there is just no point.
It's a laboured thing to say, but it just isn't delivered enough. It's meant to be fucked. It's meant to be rough.
If it isn't honest, it isn't relaxed, and if it isn't relaxed, it isn't fun. It's meant to be *fun*.
On Friday, we had some fun.

zolf - thanks for 3 hours of noise. Drums, scratching, cutting. Got the room itching by the time he handed over. He moves around his hardware like he's been doing this for a decade. It's nice to celebrate people like this. Let's stop platforming people once they get big, let's help them get there.

Tatsuya - DJ Shufflemaster, we want to yet again convey our respect for trusting us and becoming one with our idea, one with the room. We were all held in a tension, a liberating, uninhibited dream; in the sweat and fog, you were a pressing, cathartic intensity. You tiptoed a balance between lightness and ferocity that did your decades of expertise justice.

That concludes a period.
Another will start soon enough.
Cheers.

FRIDAY 12TH JUNE | @exitglasgow
"It's the roughest mix in my archive, but I like it the most raw" - DJ SHUFFLEMASTER

Tatsuya Kanamori - DJ Shufflemaster - is one of the most singular, crucial, creative, influential, bold, and years-ahead voices, that the techno genre has *ever* seen.

He plays under 5 times a year in europe. He never plays in London. He never plays in Manchester. Because people there are insane, and don't want you to have a good time. He never plays big festivals.

After several mysterious career breaks, two decades of varying inaccessibility, and almost a year of planning - he's here for the first time ever.

One of the "big 5" in Japanese techno history, DJ Shufflemaster is responsible for the most cutting-edge techno of the period in Tokyo through the Subvoice label. He went on to be a key figure in a period of exploding Japanese influence in Berlin during the late 90s, along with Fumiya Tanaka and Takkyu Ishino. At the tail end of this far-east surge in the German capital, he released one of the best albums in techno history on Tresor Records in 2001. EXP is an unparalleled classic that refuses to be topped.

zolf @_.zolf._
An (official) supertouch debut. zolf is bringing, for the first time, BOTH an extended-length digi/vinyl DJ set, AND a live set,
laced with the crunchy, warm-blooded, analogue rush of Shufflemaster's heyday, and the skippy, delicate, and exceptionally personal touch he brings to his work.
zolf has more raw talent, versatility, and vision than can be easily explained in words, and is one of the best homegrown producers and DJs to emerge this side of 2000.
Profound substance, worth several hours of exposure.
There's an obsessive edge to his creative explorations into this sound, and Shufflemaster's work specifically;
there literally could not be a better person to tie up this chic, slick double-bill.

DJ SHUFFLEMASTER LIKES IT RAW
EXIT LIKES IT RAW

Please give him a warm welcome. This is a true great and it won't happen again, possibly ever.

Hello. We’ve got a couple of these @milk1girl t shirts left from our summer run, and we have a handful of unique prints / misprints / irregulars (that still look great, if anything better cos they’re individuals) that we are looking to shift.

Please note that as some of these are test prints, they no longer have a size label cos we cut it off. So the sizing is a bit of a guess. Also, some have paint splashes or dye in random places. In a good way though.

If you’re interested, buy any random one through the same bigcartel link as before, and DM us to reserve which one from this list you’d like. by @supertouchdiy

Featuring the influences of countless great friends, artists, likeminded people. Thanks. People say albums come to define periods of their lives; the process of creating this thing involved descending into an intense, self-referential existence for the last few months - I’ve listened to it, before and after completion, probably more than any other body of music ever, getting a bit lost in myself and going insane. It feels brilliant to finally let it breathe. It’s alive. by @supertouchdiy

the zolfumentary

this guy really is brilliant. Really wish we didn't have to cut so much out, he has a lot to say and so much knowledge and understanding. We'll upload an extended cut to youtube after the night.

In our opinion, one of the most talented producers and DJs to ever appear in Scotland. Seriously.

Catch him extended live and hybrid djing on Friday.

Tickets going fast. Thanks.
