In less than four months, we’ll be back on the streets of Huntington Beach for another year of Surf City Marathon, and there are plenty of ways to be part of the day. Will you be out on the course chasing your next finish line? Or will you be on the sidelines cheering, holding signs, ringing cowbells, and helping your favorite runners make it to the finish?⁠

Your marathon training starts from the ground up. Your shoes are going to see a LOT of miles between now and race day, so give them a little love.⁠
⁠
Three things to keep in mind:⁠
✔️ Comfort > trends. Find a shoe that feels good for your feet and your running.⁠
✔️ Test before race day. Never make race morning the first time you take a new pair for a spin.⁠
✔️ Replace when they’re ready. If they’re feeling worn, flattened, or just not as comfortable as they used to be, it may be time for a new pair.⁠
