Getting GRIPD

Benji went in for a dip last week to try out @surfgripd on a couple of boards at Lost Shore to see for himself if they answered the question ‘Do they really work?’. From drawn out carves, barrels and everything in between he was able to get grip where it mattered without hesitation. taken in Lost Shore Surf Resort by @surfgripd

Coxy, a genuinely nice chap and brilliant to work with.
2 x English Masters champ and bronze medalist in the ‘99 European championships it’s easy to see why he’s still pulling in the sponsors.

This green machine is a @stevedarchshapes Chunnel model, shrunk down and tweaked for @coxy_since_61 to test.

Often accompanied in the water by @salt_water_times the third photo is from the latest issue of @carvemag - high stoke levels all round!

12 years of very little progression, and all made up for in one session.!

Yes, my surfing rubbish compared to y’all chargers and my arms are literally doing their own thing but for me, this was a dream session, 2 months of surfing a couple times a week at Lost Shore and I’ve unlocked so much.

The Stoke is real.!

Getting a new surfboard is quite a decision and modern factory made boards are really unfriendly to the planet.
The journey of this board started in Kenya in July 2023 with the flower stems of the Agave plant being harvested. Rather than throwing them away a blank was formed & glued up by the @Grow_Blanks
team the shipped to Europe by @ecosurfsupply then on to @cooper_surfboards where @ozza_cooper has done a stunning job of making one of the most beautiful eco friendly longboards around.
No need for wax, thanks to Sam @surfgripd by @surfgripd

The Lost RNF Retro - a thing of beauty!

A few subtle tweaks with the ‘23 revamp - wide point slightly further forward, deepened rear side cut, foil and rocker adjustments.

Clean 2-3ft or choppy 4ft+ this time but can’t grumble at boardshort temperatures, clear water and volcano views from the line-up…..with only a couple of others out!

Turning out to be quite the go-to all rounder.

Set up as a quad, it is considerably faster than as a thruster.
Yet to try it as a 2+1…

For some time now, we have been using a stronger adhesive.

Testing has proven successful everywhere from Bournemouth to Bali, Switzerland to Scotland and everywhere in between.

You still need to clean your board properly but this upgrade should ensure longevity and allow you to fit and forget.
