Lower Falls Yosemite 3/29/21 . I'd been chasing this nighttime #moonbow phenomena for a few years now with zero success.. My first night was filled with high expectations yet the same failing result . Was the moon at the wrong angle, not bright enough, not enough water , was I too late, does the moon goddess loath me? My mind was sleepless... A bit defeated and delerious the second night I came out with zero expectations and a mindset of just staying present. Let nature work her magic and follow your intuition. Around 1030 pm soaking with mist off the falls she finally reared her beautiful spectrum of colors for my eyes only. I knew I was the gold beneath it all.

1 year ago today one of my "bucket list" dream shots came to life. September 28 ,2014 and a day before my father would have been 60 years old. It was a perfect gift of a shot thats originality seemed to shine as bright as the keyhole moonbeam that night. A photo and experience I will always hold close to my heart. And met some new friends to boot @varient3 @manningbc . Since then i've seen some wonderful images of this rare few night cosmic event @shainblumphotography . this was my personal vision on the scene . 16mm lens ISO 640 , 2.8 193 seconds. And a kicked tripod also may or may not have made for the unique squiggles in the stars. 😜. This Cancer 🦀 water baby 📅 couldn't be more grateful for all I've experienced this birthday week! Today, I got some solo time to process it all in Big Sur and shoot some photos that reminded me of the simple Bruce Lee quote, "Be water, my friend"
Whatever situation life puts you in , embrace it- Don't remain stiff: be brave, learn, adapt, stay at peace. -You are stronger than your greatest fears!

MOTU- This dog is ART! I love the way you make everyone smile, laugh, or roll their eyes. The eternal spirit of a puppy, a wild child if you will. One who knows no constructs and a minimal amount of rules. But you are constantly happy and I f****** admire that! I think we may have taught eachother a thing or two in our time together.
