Partnerships are key to my immersion in new environments. Thank you Matthias and Tanja @inselwatt for my 4 hour sunrise hike to the middle of the sea and introduction to the hidden treasures of the Watt! … and for capturing me working 🫶 more to come….

Do you ever catch yourself smiling from ear-to-ear, just delighted by someone’s mad skills? He was juggling all of those!

Ever walk into a place and feel like you’ve been there before? It took me a few minutes and WHOA! It was like the 80s in Jean & Irving’s home, the familiarity coming from @larry_sultan book, Pictures from Home. When I returned to NYC I pulled it off the shelf again. I was reminded of the masterful way he mixed text and image, the tension that occurs when photographing the intimate relationships in our families, and the conflicting feelings when trying to say more with your own story.
A continued gift from @larry_sultan estate and @mack_publishing!

I photographed Elisabeth for over a year for my 2022 @artcentersarasota exhibition highlighting affordable housing. My focus is always on the people I photograph and I’m fortunate to form lasting, enriching relationships with them. Elisabeth’s joy and warmth are infectious. SHE is amazing and works hard every day. I’m so proud of her!
