Just want to let you know Geeti and Gyan will be offering some music over lunch time in the hayshed cafe on SATURDAY 10 October as part of Denbigh’s Open Garden Weekend and Foster a Potter fundraiser! It's in Cobbity near Camden.

Denbigh is Australia's oldest working farm (circa 1812) and is a beautiful property surrounded by hills and historic buildings. The stone stables, coach house, hand milking cow bails, calf shed, storage silos, slab barns and timber haysheds reflect the evolution of farming practices in Australia.

The current custodians, Ian and Susie McIntosh and our friends, are opening the garden and outbuildings over two days this Saturday and Sunday. You can visit the pottery and woodworking studios and even try your hand, the gallery and hayshed cafe, or just enjoy a walk in the paddocks.

The aim of the weekend is to also raise money for FOSTER A POTTER - a charity which funds pathways for experienced ceramicists to share their skills with emerging potters, in return for valuable assistance in the day-to-day running of their studio practice. The student develops practical, technical and business skills and knowledge necessary to setup and successfully run their own ceramics practice.

Entrance Ticket $15 - all proceeds to FOSTER A POTTER
Children aged 5-15 $5

Children under 5 free

Meet the local Macarthur Ceramics Group at Denbigh next weekend (10 & 11 Oct). Tickets on trybooking.com

A diverse, talented and friendly group, set up by @tinawheatley.artist & @margchapman.66, they are always ready to welcome new members. We will sadly be farewelling dynamic past president Hans Versteeg @belltreeceramics who is moving with his wife Rose (our coffee queen) down to Tanja 😪 😢

@amanda.langley.artworks has bravely stepped into his shoes and the group will be selling and running clay workshops over the weekend.

Huge shout out to Hans, @janinnepemberton and Shanin @scurran.art who have been helping set up for this @fosterapotter fundraiser - and to Michael Bright @vonnan3 - our dearly loved noctogenarian brains-trust 😍 by @susemcintosh

James is a heritage builder who quarries Denbigh stone, fallen trees, old fenceposts, rusty metal & old machinery bits and pieces to make his sculptures. A delight to be around, he never stops moving. … catch him if you can by @susemcintosh
