I wasn’t sure if I was going to share this but I keep watching it for bravery inspo myself so I may as well. Nayan ran for student council. Came up with what he wanted to say and impact change on most closely based on his observations, like any good civil servant. He lost but it didn’t shake him. He plans to run again next year!

You know, when I was first dreaming about #purplepunditproject, I always imagined I might become someone’s pundit for life. Meet a wonderful couple, officiate their wedding, bless their first home and eventually name their children. What a beautiful relationship through life’s milestones! What I hadn’t factored in was doing the same for my friends! A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of conducting a short puja @passerinenyc with my homies @maneeshkgoyal and @alvinapatel. It was a lovely morning with @chefgauravbathla and the whole team getting into it too. I couldn’t help but get a little teary-eyed as we honored Maneesh’s dad and Alvina’s mom. It was totally full circle. I first met Alvina to bless her daughter when she was born and I performed a puja for Maneesh when he welcomed his son, too. This was a wonderful milestone, too. That’s the beauty of pundit work. It’s joyous, meaningful and personal, too. Congratulations, Team Passerine. Wishing you nothing but success. And gang, go check it out, the food is bomb and the cocktails are 🔥.

And they’re off! Reunited in one building for another 2 years. Ashwin is a little more jazzed about starting 5th grade than Nayan is about heading into 3rd. Mom and Dad are very excited for a return to routine. by @sushmadjindal

This was such a magical experience, it deserves its own moment. Whales are majestic creatures. We got very lucky getting to see a pod of 12 orcas hanging out on our tour. I watch this little clip of them jumping and playing whenever I need a boost. taken in Pacific North West by @sushmadjindal

Summer vacay 2026 part 2: Seattle! An absolute delight to spend some QT with @dipalpg, Atul and fam. We went whale watching - that deserves its own post bc we actually saw whales!! - toured Seattle and had an overall jolly time. Now, why Seattle has a gum wall, I don’t know. But so fun for all the kids to truly get to know each other. We’re turning this into annual reunions! 🥰 by @sushmadjindal

Summer vacay 2026 part 1: the magic of Banff. This is the trip that has turned me - nay, us - into national parks lovers, hikers and overall appreciators of nature. Lake Louise is magical. Banff is straight out of a postcard and anything I’d seen on the interwebs before this trip truly didn’t do it justice. It was incredible. taken in Banff, Alberta by @sushmadjindal

Oh time. Slow down, will ya? A few weeks ago, Nayan had his moving up festivities and our time at Central came to an end. It was so bittersweet, I am still in my feels about it! As a school, it’s excellent. But as a community, it’s even better. It’s where we were first welcomed into the town and made friends! The place has had a tremendous impact on both the kids and us. We will miss it! True to form, we had a pool party for the grade in the backyard and a grand ole time was had by all. Rained out after-party peeps included :) by @sushmadjindal

Disrupted travel home and a lil illness won’t ruin it for me: Vegas was dope! Sweets & Snacks Expo is one of those shows that reminds you why CPG is fun. There’s energy on the floor and a host of amazing founders and operators committed to owning a shelf.

A few highlights from my quick jaunt:
Caught up with @mayssa from @eatbehave at her awesome booth. We ironically did not cross paths at Daily Harvest but met while I was at Ghetto Gastro and I love watching her build with so much authenticity. If you don’t follow her on IG or TT, you’re missing out. Esp if you’re also a fellow woo woo girly like me. Talk about a spiritually connected human! Also Behave is a truly compelling treat in the better-for-you space. If you haven’t tried it already, I highly suggest you fix that immediately. You can now grab it at Target!

Caught up with one of my favorite people @hbmessin who is now thriving at Mars. You know how some people just make every room better? Hannah is one of them.

Took a minute to hang with my friend the broccoli from @eatveggievice. Big fan of what @riddhimakapoor_ is building. The chips are delish! And what an easy way to add veggies to literally anything. (I throw mine on pizza for reals).

Mars will always have a piece of my heart from my days at Edelman so I needed a selfie moment, of course.

And the best highlight was an amazing founder dinner we hosted for @jointastebud. Caviar puri, lobster green curry, real conversation and Chatham House rules. Exactly the kind of evening that makes the work feel worth it. (And less like work!)

I wasn’t on the ground for long but sure made it count. Can’t wait for next year! taken in Las Vegas, Nevada by @sushmadjindal
