Before and after images of my recent Ngaio bathroom.

The first images show the view from the hallway into the bathroom. By flipping the door, you're immediately greeted by a beautiful custom vanity, easily seen from the passageways outside, drawings the eye into the space.

The deep natural timber tones of this character property where echoed in the vanities custom tint. And the emeralds, jades and terracottas were inspired by the many art works, ceramics and textiles in the rooms adjacent.

The overall dimensions of the space remain the same, but by relocating the shower and removing the unused bath, I was able to dramatically enhance the feeling of space and increase the size of the shower, allowing for a luxury, easy access wet floor.

By working with the window supplier, the custom glazing was matched to the original window glass, allowing us to install a water resistant hard-wearing aluminium unit into the wet area without the utilitarian feel of a standard aluminium window.

A big thank you to all involved on bringing this project to life and my wonderful clients for loving the vision.

There's nothing quite like a before and after to demonstrate the full transformation that can take place.

For this project, I proposed a number of solutions to elevate this kitchen to what it is now.
* Removed a small false wall that separated the kitchen and laundry, combining the two spaces and opening up the full potential of the room.
* Rotating the sink to face the view.
* Establishing a large banquette seating area for family meal times and relaxing coffee breaks in the sun.
*Adding a skylight to enhance the space with more light.
* Introducing hard wearing and ecologically accredited surfaces, natural timber tones, calm neutrals and earthy textures.
*Maximising storage to ensure this kitchen stands up to all the challenges a busy family can throw at them.

Before and after.

This was a massive transformation and a wonderful project to be part of.

My client’s were happy with the basic layout of their existing kitchen and wanted the appliances in a similar position to the previous, plus to retain the original window dimensions, but with the help of a few annoying walls and ugly pelmets being removed, plus adding some some polished design, this open plan kitchen and dining is now a place you want to spend time in.

I started working on this project back in 2022, with the stage 1 fit-out installed the following year.

Now we're just about to start Stage 2, with the demo work starting next week.
I am so excited to get this wonderful project finally underway.

Some subtle changes had to be made to the design, to work with increased product and build costs, but we haven't lost any of the original design intent. It's going to be beautiful.

These are some of the pages for the decorators, which outline the wall colours and wallpaper for the various rooms. Corresponding 3D visuals leave nothing to chance, ensuring everyone is on the same page when it comes to the desired results.

I've heard horror stories from industry contacts, where the incorrect wall colour or even tiles were installed, resulting in massive costs and added time to rectify the errors. 3D renders are just one of the ways I can remove communication errors on site.

Spring has sprung and I'm so loving these gorgeous days we're starting to get.

Open those doors and windows and get that fresh air in.

Ventilating your house for just ten mins, flushing out the moist air, is one of the best ways to ensure your home is warm, dry and healthy.
Moist air is so much harder to heat, and more costly, so by creating a through draft, you can push the used air out and draw in lots of lovely fresh air.

Have a lovely weekend all!
Saturday is meant to be another stunner! (so says my mum, who is better than the Metservice for predictions)

I'm so happy with how this dining setting has worked out for the Wellington cottage.

Working with the existing flooring and original T&G wall lining, the warmth of the timber and natural green hues allow for a relaxed, harmonious palette.

By completely filling the end wall of this kitchen, this space now looks and feels bigger. With seating for the whole family, the timber bench seats create a second living zone for comfy coffee breaks in the sun, family meals and a space to sit while the chef gets to work on dinner.

Thanks to the Marty and the WHJ team and B&B for the fabulous results. It's so important having such fantastic manufacturers and suppliers who can bring my designs to life.

I'm currently working on some wonderful homes, with lots of variety.

This project includes entry storage, two bathrooms and WC, a laundry, as well as reimagining the kitchen.

Transforming the currently narrow room, into a spacious family-friendly hub, with excellent circulation space that's perfect for every day life, when everyone wants to be in the kitchen at once.
When you know your kids are not far off their teenage years, you want the kitchen to flow well.

This kitchen design includes a large entertainers island, perfect for meal prep, baking and plating-up.
A long utility bench at the back, keeping the main space open and clutter free, along with a large floor-to-ceiling storage wall, which houses the fridge, Space Tower pantry, breakfast/coffee zone and even more drawers.

We haven't tied down the finishes yet, but I'm enjoying the blue and red in this concept.

Multi-purpose storage design for my Ngaio new build.

This piece was designed to work hard; allowing my client to store a large collection of books and games, as well as provide an unobtrusive space for a TV, a work from home ergonomic desk, and an almost hidden cupboard for the ironing board and iron.

My client had spent a year visiting furniture shops, reviewing high-end European brands and browsing online without much luck. They realised a bespoke design was required.
After a brief meeting and site measure, I was able to provide them with a number of design concepts to suit their requirements, resulting in this solution for the space.

Personally I love it when books are on display, completely altering the feeling of a room, by adding personality and interest.

I love seeing my designs entering their final stage, when the layout has been finalised and I'm working through the colours and finishes.

My client's are now thinking through the various options I have provided to make final decisions before I move onto the documentation stage.
This kitchen update is going to transform this home, providing my clients with a wonderful, dynamic space to enjoy together as a family.

Signed off concept render for the hallway and bathroom of this full-house renovation.

Even though the project does not start until after September, the stunning Italian wall tiles and William Morris wall paper are already on their way from Europe, to ensure no costly delays are felt during the build.

I work closely with my supply network during the design stage to check in on stock levels and lead times for any indent items, that way your build team will be able to keep moving forward, knowing they don't have to pause for any late deliveries.

As this is the view from the front door, I have hidden the toilet, placing the vanity, mirror and gorgeous tiles in full view, leading the eye right through the space.
