Congrats to the amazing #JeanSmart. With 8 Emmys and making history for getting 5 in a row, she just never stops! This pic was taken when I met her at another awards show, The Women's Image Network Awards in LA many years ago. We both had shows nominated, mine was for a movie I was a producer for. We had a great conversation and what I remember is that she had impeccable taste in jewelry! Keep it up Jean!! You are a role model to many women.

Iliana Guibert's husband Thomas McGinnis perished in the towers. The call he made to her was remembered as the last call out. To help others, Iliana wrote and produced a film, Twice Upon a Time (you can find it on youtube) which talks about how we should all be extra caring and vigilant with those who have suffered a loss, because they may not be showing what they actually are feeling. She screened her movie at MNN in NYC last week.

I also had the honor to have her on my podcast show, The LIBBY Show as a co-host. In the podcast she ever so candidly shares this devastating experience, how grateful she is for all those who helped at the towers site and then we hear from a grief counselor. If you want to watch it visit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gxnbaro_79g

Iliana's courage and resilience is an inspiration to all women.

The incredibly accomplished Jaclyn Smith is kicking off the launch of her new book, "I Once Met a Guy Named Charlie" with a book tour, starting at @bookendsnj in Ridgewood tonight, then headed to NYC and California.

You can read more here:
https://www.suzeebehindthescenes.com/2026/09/the-amazing-and-accomplished-jaclyn.htm

About the book -
She said she wrote it for her granddaughters, so they would know what she was like
She credits her parents for helping her navigate through life
She talks about how brave her co-star Farrah Fawcett was.

This woman is so accomplished I am sure the book will be an inspiration to many.

THANK YOU @GloriaSteinem for all you have done for women!

I had the honor of meeting her several times, including when I was involved with the committee for the Steinem Chair at Rutgers and when her play opened in NYC.

I had always admired her when I was young. There were few women telling young women and girls that they really could be anything they wanted to be and this message resonated with me.

When I saw her, she signed my copy of Ms. Magazine (I had saved many of them). I always asked her what I could do to help young women. Her answer was simple and profound.

She said, "Pass it on."

And now that she has passed on, it's up to us to continue what she started.

The Modern Silent Shorts Festival! I recently attended this on a rainy night in NYC. What a unique concept for a film festival. It's a film festival and concert all in one. The sound of the score reverberated through the venue, the Center at West Park. Phenomenal music. I highly recommend to catch this festival next year.
