✨ A Taste of New York | Dining at ATRIO ✨

📍 ATRIO Wine Bar & Restaurant | Conrad New York Downtown

Some of the most memorable evenings are discovered through good company, beautiful surroundings, and exceptional food.

Following an exciting afternoon at the Chelsea Film Festival, my evening continued at ATRIO Wine Bar & Restaurant, located inside the elegant Conrad New York Downtown.

And what a delightful culinary experience!

🍄 The Mushroom Soup — Absolutely delicious! Rich, comforting, and full of flavor. One of those dishes that makes you slow down and truly appreciate every spoonful.

🌿 The Asparagus Risotto — Beautifully presented, with tender asparagus, mushrooms, and a creamy texture that made this dish a standout.

The contemporary surroundings offered a lovely setting to unwind, enjoy good conversation, and savor the evening.

For me, dining is about more than what's on the plate. It's about the atmosphere, the experience, the people, and those little moments that become lasting memories.

ATRIO was a wonderful addition to my New York City experience.

Because living beautifully means taking the time to savor life. 🥂

INTRODUCTION

The Continuing Art of Becoming

There comes a point in life when becoming is no longer about arriving.

It is no longer about the title, the invitation, the recognition, the relationship, or even the carefully constructed idea of who we thought we were supposed to be. It becomes something quieter. It becomes the understanding that a life is never truly finished while we are still living it.

I have spent years thinking about the architecture of self: presence, discernment, preservation, curiosity, gravitas, gratitude, humor, contentment, purpose.

Each revealed itself not as an abstract philosophy, but through living—through rooms I entered, rooms I left, people I loved, people I released, opportunities I pursued, disappointments I survived, and moments when life required me to reconsider everything I thought I knew.

That is how The Art of Self was born.
Not as instruction. As observation.
I have come to believe that wisdom is rarely delivered to us fully formed. More often, it arrives disguised as experience.

Sometimes as joy. Sometimes as loss. Sometimes as proximity to the right person at precisely the right moment. And sometimes as the uncomfortable realization that we have outgrown a place, a relationship, an ambition—or even an earlier version of ourselves.

The work is recognizing what the experience came to teach us. And then continuing. There is extraordinary freedom in realizing that becoming has no age limit.

We are allowed to change our minds.

We are allowed to become more discerning about where we place our energy. We are allowed to want differently. We are allowed to leave certain things behind without declaring them failures.

And we are allowed to look at the life we have already lived—not with regret for everything we might have done differently, but with curiosity about what all of it has prepared us to become next. I am still becoming.
Perhaps that is the point.

The Art of Self is the philosophy I extracted from living.

Becoming is the life that produced the philosophy. And somewhere between the two is the woman I continue to discover.

Welcome.

YEARS IN THE MAKING — AND NOW, WE BREAK GROUND! 🏡✨

I am incredibly excited to share that Visions & Pathways will officially break ground on Bridge House on September 9, 2026!

This moment has been a long time coming.

After a project that had been stalled for nearly 12 years, Bridge House is moving forward — from a vision we refused to abandon into a ten-unit affordable housing development that will provide safe, stable housing for at-risk youth and young adults transitioning to independence.

This groundbreaking represents years of persistence, collaboration, advocacy, and an unwavering belief in what Bridge House can mean for the young people we serve.

My deepest appreciation goes to David Walker, Executive Director & CEO of Visions & Pathways, his dedicated staff, our Board, and all of the partners who have worked to bring us to this extraordinary moment.

I am also especially proud to see Pennoni involved in helping move this project forward and bring this vision into existence.

And we are thrilled to welcome Patriot General Construction, a veteran-owned and operated company, as the construction team selected to help us build Bridge House.

There are moments when you stop talking about what will happen and finally get to say:

It is happening.

On September 9, we put shovels in the ground. 🏡

Bridge House is becoming a reality.

What a phenomenal weekend in LBI! ❤️🌊

To all of these beautiful ladies — thank you for the laughter, the conversations, the dancing, the adventures and simply allowing me to share in your longtime friendship and make some new memories with you. It was truly a pleasure spending the weekend with each of you. 🥰

And a very special thank you to my dear friend Suzanne — my Queen Bee. 👑❤️

Suzanne, I cannot thank you enough for opening your beautiful home and giving me exactly the kind of weekend I didn't even realize I needed.

And apparently, all it takes is the right song to get the two of us on the dance floor! 😂💃🏽 We danced, we laughed, and we had an absolute ball at the Sandbar. And yes, Queen Bee, I know that was one of your favorite moments — it was one of mine too. ❤️

And for those who don't know, Suzanne is also my official PR extraordinaire — perhaps the best PR person anyone could ask for!

😂🥰 Be sure to check out Suzee Behind the Scenes, because according to Queen Bee, yours truly will be making additional appearances!
