Matera a UNESCO sight which dates back to the 7 th Century in Basilica Region of Southern Italy. Built entirely into cliffs with Cave dwellings that the inhabitants lived in along with their livestock.
Most amazing historical city which must be on every one’s bucket List. Jim & I stayed in the upmost luxurious hotel built in caves called Ventara Matera. by @suzigomezpizzo

Special Night Going to St. Patrick’s Cathedral Midnight Mass courtesy of The Amazing Leah Hawkins who sang so beautifully she made me weep! It was simply a perfect Christmas Eve . The pomp & circumstance & beauty reminding one of the true meaning of Christmas , the birth of our Lord! It was also momentous as it was Cardinal Timothy Dolans last mass given at Cathedral. Jim & I were treated like VIPs shown to our seats by Leah’s Manager Matthew. We entered thru the backstage of Cathedral (Shocker)
& got to go thru labyrinth of rooms underneath .Guess once a backstage crew….

Amsterdam still one of the most beautiful cities. Canals That create a labyrinth of of Time,Rijksmuseum with Van Goghs & Rembrandts , Anne Frank House where you are reminded that HATE can lead people to justify anything, & of course The Heineken Brewery( husbands reason for going) It rained for 5 consecutive days & yet I still didn’t mind. I spent some time there in my youth & it still remains as magical as I remember! by @suzigomezpizzo

End of Summer… Is it just me or did yours go by so fast too. I took a much needed Labor Day retail therapy Day. One of my favorite Dept. Stores in Paris Printemps has opened a very swanky store on Wall Street. Very Posh beyond belief, Red Room is amazing full of shoes & divine decor. Prices are beyond belief too! but the whole store is like walking thru an Art installation. The Art Deco bathroom is so worth going into.Just had to have coffee & Pastry in the cafe. Century 21 is several blocks away so your trip will not be wasted. Check it out if you get a chance. by @suzigomezpizzo
