POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This October I documented Lou. It was our first meeting.
The photographer Richard Avedon said that people always perform themselves a little in front of the camera and I agree.
We didn’t need a magazine cover. We needed to capture time.

And I’m almost certain that the real Lou is in these photographs.
Memory has an expiry date; a photograph doesn’t. Years from now Lou will open these pictures and most of what happened this autumn she will have forgotten. But the photograph will keep it all, and perhaps Lou will feel a warmth when she remembers this autumn taken in London, United Kingdom by @svitlynaa

this shoot with Scott felt alive, a bit chaotic and entirely right. turning the studio into a space for exactly this kind of unscripted energy from now on

𝑚𝑦 𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑜𝑓 𝑐𝑜𝑙𝑜𝑟 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑒𝑑𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔

in my work, i always try to keep colors clean and natural, just as they were in the real moment
i believe that photos with honest, true-to-life tones will always stay timeless, no matter how trends change.

i avoid yellowish or artificial shades that distort reality.
for me, it’s important that every photo feels genuine,so when you look at it, your attention stays on the emotions and the moment, not on the editing.

in a world that’s becoming more and more artificial, i want my photos to remain authentic and alive.

𝑖𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑓𝑒𝑒𝑙𝑠 𝑐𝑙𝑜𝑠𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑦𝑜𝑢, i’d be happy to create photos that will become warm memories for years to come ♡︎ taken in London, United Kingdom by @svitlynaa
