Thank You, Southwest District Kiwanis! 💙

As my term as District Governor comes to a close tonight, my heart is full of gratitude. Serving this incredible Kiwanis family across 5 states has been an honor and a privilege. Despite challenges and complex transitions, we stayed the course and rebuilt our foundation stronger than ever:

✨ Financial Integrity: Got our books back in order alongside Treasurer Darin Edwards, our Good Standing paperwork is on time for the first time in years, paving the way to restore our 501(c)(4) status!
✨ New Horizons: Expanded into Laughlin, NV & Needles, CA, plus added new traditional clubs in Surprise and Peoria.
✨ Making History: Chartered the historic Kiwanis Voices Club of The West Valley (ages 18–26), the 1st in our district and only the 2nd in the entire U.S.!
✨ Leadership & Legacy: Honored the memory of late ED Laurie Schotz and welcomed our exceptional new ED, Sandra Carrier.

To my Class of Lieutenant Governors, club officers, and volunteers: thank you for your tireless work behind the scenes. You’ve made this district undeniably better.

Please shower our incoming district leadership team with that same support and empathy as they take the reins. I look forward to continuing to serve alongside you all as a proud fellow Kiwanian.

Here’s to the next chapter! 🥂

Yours In Continous Service,
Governor Erica Stephens
