It was a beautiful day at Bear Valley visitor center to have a Hoka shoe demo with HRC. We had a great turnout. Then a beautiful run to the coast. Dante and I demoed the Speedgoat 7. With new upgrades and wonderful cushion this shoe has had great reviews. It was my actual run since April 9 due to if you injuries. It was a wonderful time. by @sweav11

I’d like to take a moment and thank all of you for the incredible comments on my new Dolphins sculpture. It warms my heart to know that something I built can touch so many people. I am also going to have Delilah my dragonfly at the Sonoma County fair. by @sweav11

About 7931 and 1/2 toothpicks so far !!!! lol!
So I had a knee issue again after hyperextending it a bit on the bunkers in the headlands a couple months ago. Since I’m not running now I decided to build something that I’ve talked about for years. Her name is Delphine. She’s going to be about 7 feet tall including the splashing water. I started by drawing her center spine then her ribs and then what I call paneling. I’ve been working on her almost every day ( a bit) since the beginning of May. I hope to finish her by the end of June. by @sweav11

HOKA and HRC demo fun! We had another great turnout at Cooperage pub in Santa Rosa. We had over 60 attendees demoing the new Mach 7 the Cielo 3.0 and the Gaviota . Also, in attendance was the incredible Jared Hixon and his beautiful wife Aspen. Aspen delighted us with her newfound juggling skills.!. It was another super successful Hoka demo and fun was had by all.#hokaambassador#healdsburgrunningcompany @mojave_hixon @aspenhixon @kristenpensinger @skip_brand @ralphirun @danteegoodinez01 @a.runners.mind by @sweav11

The new HOKA speedgoat 7 came out February 1st. Dante and I did a demo launch at sports basement in Berkeley. Thanks to Brent, It was a great success. We received a lot of feedback from runners who enjoyed the new shoe improvements. It was fun to be able to join all the runners to head up in the hills of Berkeley. Wow the 2nd mile was over 650 foot of elevation in 1 mile. Definitely a challenge.@HOKAambassador @kristenpensinger @hoka @mojave_hixon @sportsbasementsantarosa #hoka @HOKAflyers@healdsburgrunningcompany@ by @sweav11

Zoey and I saved about 437 pollywogs today in Novato. Zoey is now a northern California marine biologist specializing in amphibious migration through the flat wetlands. She found over 1000 poly logs this morning and we did what we could. She may send her dad out for another excursion. I did this last year as well in the same area. @mojave_hixon @kristenpensinger @spunkylilpip @HOKAambassodor @verity_breen @ridgrunner @pbraa_pb @lacabraruns @toddbertolone @healdsburgrunningcompany @sfrc_team by @sweav11

Crystal Springs 35k!
Coastal Trail runs always put on a great event. The Weather was absolutely perfect.
This was my first race in a while and it was so fun!!
It was my first race in the Hoka Rocket-X trail shoes!. Wow!, they are responsive even for an old dude! The heel too toe rocker was so smooth. The carbon fiber plate did its job. I had zero issues with rocks as well! I felt very stable, comfortable, in cushioned in these springy bad boys. I look forward to trying them out next Sunday in the Spartan 25K trail run.Jared W. I love my Hoka Mafate-X trail shoes!. I feel very stable and confident in these bad boys. I ran super technical rocky trails and the carbon fiber plate allows a smooth ride!. I ran in Annadel state park for 23.45 and it was beautiful. I said hi to the frogs in the dark and then headed up. This was a very special run for me that I didn’t really plan. I felt really grounded from the beginning, and it was very meditative to run in the mist. I had a lot of time to think about life and say a few different prayers for a few special people in my life. Life is such a gift ! The recent rain filled the creeks, enhanced the moss and brought out the salamanders. I had a beautiful white owl fly right in front of me and I saw half a dozen rabbits in the dark with my headlamp. I found some incredible mushrooms! Then Found one tick on my knee driving home. I’ve run four runs between 15 to 27 miles in these Mafate-X’s and I look forward to running long in them. #hokaambassador #HOKAambassador#Jared Hixon @sanfranciscorunningcompany @mojave_hixon @healdsburgrunningcompany @lousavss @kristenpensinger @skip_brand @hoka #mafatex by @sweav11
