It began with a virus that attacked his bone marrow and quickly spread to the rest of his body. The prognosis was grim, and the doctors offered little hope.

Yet God intervened. What followed was an undeniable healing—organ by organ—until full recovery. Today, Williams has completed his inpatient journey and graduated from rehab after more than a month in the children’s hospital, including Christmas and New Year’s.

As we enter Phase 2: outpatient therapy, we ask for continued prayer for strength, progress, and lasting health through Jesus Christ. Thank you to everyone who prayed and stood with us. To God be the glory.

I watched this, and it resonated with me so deeply when he described holding her hand and suddenly having something about her revealed to him.

I’ve experienced something similar…

I remember sitting across from someone I loved… absolutely adored. We were enjoying ourselves, laughing, having a beautiful conversation.

But suddenly… something shifted.

They were still smiling. Still talking. But I could hear beneath their words. And more importantly, I could feel what wasn’t being said.

I remember thinking, Am I tripping right now?

And as I sat there listening, I kept looking at who it was coming from…

Because here’s what I’ve learned.

Deception doesn’t always have an unpleasant face.

Sometimes it’s beautiful. Charming. Easy on the eyes. Warm in conversation. Everything about the person appears inviting…

Welcoming to the eyes, yet unsettling to the spirit.

For years, I attributed my sensitivity to my ADHD… the pattern recognition, the attention to detail, the ability to recognize shifts others might overlook.

But the closer I’ve grown to Christ, the more I’ve come to understand spiritual discernment.

Sometimes your eyes are admiring what your spirit is warning you to examine.

And that’s a difficult place to be when your heart is already involved.

Pray for people. Love them. Extend grace. But don’t allow beauty, charm, or emotional attachment to silence the wisdom God is developing within you.

Not everything beautiful is meant to belong in your life.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7
