Thank you to @reelconnectionfilms for making such a great film of the 2024 festival. Thanks to @alice_denny and @alexanderbrattell for their contributions and big thanks to @aceagrams for supporting us this year! We couldn’t do it without all of the participants, artists and organisers so appreciate everyone who took part and gave their all! We love this community and this 25th anniversary year shows that festivals such as these can find a way if everyone pulls together to make it happen. The arts are so important and Coastal Currents attempts to support the creative economy locally so we can celebrate the importance of culture and the uniqueness of this part of the world. #coastalcurrents #cultureiscrucial Music @dariafisher_ taken in Hastings, East Sussex by @sweetanddandyuk

Thank you so much to our 2026 Opening Event sponsor @rockrosebeauty

If you were lucky enough to get a Coastal Currents Goodie Bag you’ll know how many incredible freebies there were from generous sponsors including the gorgeous Multipurpose Healing Balm from an amazing local company @rockrosebeauty #supportlocal

This balm is for “hard working bodies” and I know all the artists and musicians involved in the festival are certainly that!

We would love you to go support these guys as they support really crucial local events like our community arts festival so they deserve your ££ so much more than the big beauty brands.

For anyone who was lucky enough to get one of these lovely products please do let us know how you are enjoying it and give @rockrosebeauty a follow, a Google review…you know the score!

THE FULL BINGE PERFORMANCE IS HERE.

For those of you who missed us live, I’m so excited to share BINGE in full.

Created and performed with @rosie_greenwood , BINGE explores addiction, compulsion and the ways we pacify ourselves, from food, sex and relationships to substances, shopping, screens, work and even our own thoughts.

At its heart is the moment between urge and action: the temptation, the build-up, the automatic behaviour, the “f*ck it” moment and the cycles we find ourselves returning to.

This live performance was our first step towards developing BINGE as an XR experience, where we could immerse audiences even further in the sensory experience of temptation, compulsion and repetition.

For now, turn the sound up, settle in and experience BINGE in full. And I’d love to hear what it brings up for you in the comments.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped us bring this first iteration to life, especially to @coastalcurrentsfestival for making it all possible, continually supporting artists and for capturing the performance so beautifully.

Watch this space for the next phase of BINGE. ❤️
