POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I am so excited to announce that THE PUMPKIN SEED will be out tomorrow!!🎃

This little gem will publish with @nosycrow and it was written by the wonderful @poppy_oneill.

Thanks for the amazing creative team at Nosy Crow to help bring this one to life.

An honest and uplifting story about how love can grow in a blended family.

A mother and daughter love watching their tiny pumpkin plant grow. Then Mum’s new partner Sam moves in with all her stuff . and everything changes. The child doesn’t want to share her space – or her mum. But Sam turns out to be great at gardening and making up games. As the pumpkin plant grows, so does the love in this new family.

This reassuring yet real portrayal of introducing a new partner will help children cope with change and navigate their emotions as their family grows.

Featuring a same-sex couple and from an own voice LGTBQ+ author, this sensitively told story celebrates the ups and downs of building a blended family after divorce and separation.

Wherever books are sold. This the season of giving.

🖌Accidental Ink Drops and Paper Bits with the fabulous Brizida Magro
*
This is a workshop for celebrating happy artistic accidents.
*
Have you ever wondered how creative limitations can actually unlock a stronger artistic voice or help you innovate your creativity? What happens when you remove most of your tools and allow yourself to work with just one simple mark? The Accidental Ink Drops and Paper Bits workshop explores how working with constraints can spark creativity and push your visual storytelling in new directions.
*
Join award winning illustrator, Brizida Magro for a workshop exploring the creative power of limitations through a unique drawing challenge. During this workshop, Brizida will share a 30-day ink droplet experiment in which she restricted herself to using only ink droplets to generate imagery—discovering unexpected forms, characters, and compositions along the way.
*
During the workshop, we will see:
💮How creative limitations can strengthen artistic voice
💮The concept behind the 30-day Ink Droplet Challenge
💮Techniques for generating imagery using only ink droplets
💮Strategies for turning simple marks into expressive illustrations
💮How daily creative constraints can build consistency and experimentation
*
You’ll also get the chance to get independent feedback on your ideas from Brizida at the end of the session. We can’t wait to see you there!
*
The event will be held online via ZOOM - the link will be sent to you directly via email before the event.
*
All tickets are £60 INCLUSIVE of booking fee - and are non-refundable.
*
The event is LIVE - but buying a ticket will give you access to a recording of the workshop lecture - which will be available to view back for one month. You will be sent a link for this within 48 hours of the event.
