Happy Threshing Day! I know today felt like it was all about dragons, but y’all, I put out so many new releases today that the New Release display table is completely packed with so many new books, too many for them all to fit on the top of the display shelf. Seriously.

And also, thank you so much for supporting local. It means so much to us. We love when we get to gush with you about new releases, introduce you to new favorites, or help your kids find a new book series. Wetumpka’s Front Porch Fall Fest + an Author Event with the wonderful Maggie Rapier = the BEST kind of Saturday!

Our community NEVER disappoints! We had so much fun celebrating, visiting, laughing, talking books, and seeing so many familiar (and new!) faces throughout the day.

There’s just something extra special about seeing our downtown full of people enjoying this sweet community we get to call home. 🥰

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by, celebrated with us, and helped us give Maggie such a warm Wetumpka welcome. We loved every minute of it!

This Saturday! We are kicking off Fall in downtown Wetumpka with our Front Porch Fall Festival from 10 am to 4 pm. Sweet Home Books is so excited to have author Maggie Rapier coming to sign her books from The Magpie and the Wolf Duology from 11am to 1 pm. We have tons of sales going on throughout the store—just look for the green tag! There are so many fun things happening Saturday (including line dancing lessons)!
