After being born at 33 weeks & 4 days, and spending 5 weeks in the NICU, we are beyond grateful to have our baby boy home!

I’ve never experienced anything as heart wrenching as leaving the hospital without my baby. It was agonizing day after day after day. We made sure we visited him every single day. Even with knowing he was in the incredible hands of the NICU staff, I still ached for him. I craved my baby. It felt like my nervous system couldn’t settle until I was back by his side.

At the same time, I was recovering from a C-section. Most people who have major abdominal surgery are encouraged to stay home, rest, and heal. Instead, I endured the pain of every bumpy car ride and slowly made my way through the hospital each day because there was nowhere else I wanted to be. Being with my son was worth it.

My husband, Renaldo, has been incredible. Because our son arrived so much earlier than expected, family members who had planned to help us after his birth weren’t able to be here yet. For a while, it was just the two of us figuring it out. He carried so much physically, mentally, and emotionally. I know it was incredibly hard on him too, and there were days when I barely had enough strength to hold myself together, let alone be there for him. Still, he remained steady for both of us. I will never be able to fully express how grateful I am for him.

To every person who prayed for us, checked on us, sent a message, bought a meal, offered encouragement, or simply reminded us we weren’t alone, we are so thankful. Your kindness carried us through some of our hardest days, and we will never forget it.

I thank God that our baby boy is home, healthy, and thriving! He’s all I’ve ever wanted. I’m blessed beyond words.

A little life update 💙

Our baby boy decided to make an early arrival, and while he surprised us with his timing, we couldn’t be more grateful.

I’ll be stepping away from forecasting for a while to focus on my growing family and soak up these precious moments with our newest addition.

From “I do” to year 6, and now “we’re due” with a baby boy next month. The God who made man on the 6th day is still writing our story, one miracle at a time. 🙌🏾💙

For those who asked or wondered how our moms (and dads 😅) responded to the news that we’re finally making them grandparents, here’s some #MothersDay joy for your timelines…

We told Renaldo’s mom that we needed her and dad to sign his updated life insurance policy 😉. When she saw that it was not a pen ✍🏽 she was using, his dad was concerned she was going to knock down the chandelier 😅.

We told Jessica’s mom, dad, and grandmother on the count of 3 during the Thanksgiving family photo 😅.

Suffice it to say that many tears and even more laughter ensued… by @swindlerella
