Hickory's has been refueling the team after games, hosting our socials, and flying the Storm flag everywhere since they opened in Swindon. We are over the moon to cement our partnership officially and continue to grow it further.

We are in full preseason training in preparation for this season with high expectations for this year. There is still time for players and coaches to join us this season. MVP's for Plymouth homecoming match🏆🏈

Overall: Brent Joshson-Flippance - Line / Punter
Played all over the pitch putting a shift in for the team, and delivered great field position when called upon as the backup punter.

Offence: Josh Richards - Wide Receiver
Clutch catches all afternoon and showed playmaking ability with the ball in hand. A high effort play to chase down an interception to prevent a pick six.
H/M: Aled Heaton

Defence: Ben Waller - Linebacker
Always around the ball and putting pressure on the offence all afternoon.
H/M: Aylwin Thorne-Griffith

Special Teams: Elton Masut Santos - Headhunter
Chased down kicks and punts with ferocity. Stayed alert to recover a muffed punt swinging momentum.

Line: Matt Atkinson - Offensive Line
Had his guy blocked all day and opened holes in the run game.

Rookie: Samuel Bardi - Defensive Back
Instinctive when it came to the passing game and crashing down in the run. A big punt return to set up great field position for the offence.

Same sport, different teams. Another great afternoon, this time in sunny Swindon where @swindonstorm hosted division leaders @plymouthvanguard Sadly, it was not to be for the home team but it was a hard match, played in true spirit by both teams. @swindonstorm march on to an away playoff game whilst @plymouthvanguard have home field advantage. MVPS For Somerset Wyverns Away 🏆

Overall- Alex Barnes - QB
Alex led the team through example, controlled the pace of the game, and called a strong game plan without the OC present. Alex is sponsored by @uppercuts_barbershop
Royal Wotton Bassett.

Offence - Mason Weaver - RB
The Wyverns defence had no answer for the rookie RB's rumbling powerful runs. Mason also stepped up in the fourth quarter to grind out the win.

Defence - Sam Pope - DB,
Whilst the whole D deserved their due accolades for the 4th shutout win, one man put in some ferocious tackles in the secondary to prevent Wyverns gaining momentum.

Line MVP - Izaak Singleton - DE
Izaak constantly caused the Wyverns QB to make poor judgement calls through pure pressure, and swallowed up the run game.

Special Teams MVP - Ben Lloyd - HH / DB
Several impactful chase downs on kick off which forced the Wyverns to start drives with poor field position.

Rookie MVP - Keith Squibb - WR
Several clutch catches on key downs while under pressure really helped assert the O's dominance on the day.

As always it was a tough call to pick out individual performances on what was a complete team win. We go again in a few weeks.

With yesterday's win over the Wyverns the Swindon Storm Senior Team clenched a playoff berth. We now can't finish below second place in the SFC2 West.

This is a major achievement for the coaches, players, and our supporters, but the job isn't done.

We are looking forward to hosting Plymouth in two weeks time for our final regular season game with the division title on the line. Watch this space for updates on us making this game day extra special for the fans.
