Doctor of Music.

Yesterday I finally walked at Indiana University in Bloomington.

I started this path in 2005. Twenty-one years later, after a long and often winding road through performing, teaching, setbacks, growth, family life, and professional transitions, I crossed the stage.

Grateful for the many students, mentors, colleagues, friends, and family members who helped carry me here.

More reflections (and likely more professional photos) to come. taken in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall by @sylvestermakobi

Thankful for the opportunity to work with Christine Schneider at a @iujsom voice masterclass. I sang “Michezo” from the Swahili song cycle “Kumbukumbu za Utotoni” by Eddie Mony.
