It’s here!!! Opening night for the Crimson cast of Le nozze di Figaro! WE MADE IT, BABES!

What a thrilling journey this has been. Each of these superstars in both the Cream and Crimson casts (see what they did there?) as well as our creative team have put in countless hours of painstaking work to bring these characters and this show to life. We’ve essentially lived together for the last four weeks and tonight we get to enjoy the fruits of our labor as we share our art and passion with the world!

If you’d have told me this time five years ago that I’d be here, doing this, I’d have laughed in your face. I didn’t think I could do something like this - here’s to being wrong ☺️ LIVESTREAM LINK

Say hello to Camp S.O.U.L. 2019! Directed by Soul Revue alumnus Ignoisco Miles @ignoiscodejuan, Camp S.O.U.L. is a 6 day summer camp for talented high school students to study Black music forms with music professionals and @iubloomington faculty and staff while preparing for college and a successful life. These students are part of a 15-year legacy (Camp S.O.U.L. was founded in 2004 by the great Dr. Tyron Cooper). So many amazing musicians, vocalists, and people have come through our camp - including our camp vocal coach @terrilyndouglas and rhythm coach @faridijamali3! Take a look at the next generation of great artists and leaders! #campsoul2019 #campsoul #goldsoul

We’re very sad to learn that Melvin Edmonds of @after7music has passed. Melvin is the brother of @babyface and @iubloomington & Soul Revue alum @therealkevonedmonds7. IU Soul Revue performed After 7’s recent hit “If I” at our Potpourri of the Arts concert and @1067wtlc’s 50th gala. Thank you for sharing your music with the world. Our condolences to the Edmonds family 🙏🏾❤️ #musicmonday #iusoulrevue #after7 #thelegacycontinues
