✨Hostess with the mostess✨ This evening, I had the honor of emcee’ing Jacksonville North Pulaski School District’s Teacher of the Year Gala. As the daughter of two educators, this felt full circle because I know firsthand how selfless our teachers are. Thank you to JNPSD and educators all around for your dedication and commitment to building a brighter future. 🩷 by @symoneontv

I didn’t get any “baddie” birthday pictures for my feed this year (but just know that a baddie did serve 🤭), but I feel like these better reflect who I am and where I am. Life keeps proving that plans are cool, but the real miracles come when you release control. ✨ by @symoneontv

Happy π day! I’m wearing purple today for #DressforSTEM to promote gender equality and diversity in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. Men continue to outpace and out-earn women in STEM fields across all ethnic groups, but black women continue to be the least represented. In 2020, the American Meteorological Society (AMS) reported that Black and African American meteorologists made up 2 percent of the entire membership. The ratio of Black men to women is 60 percent to 40 percent — indicating that Black women make up less than 1 percent of members. The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) also reported that there are about 138 Black meteorologists in journalism across the United States. Of Black meteorologists, about 46 percent are women. That equates to roughly 63 Black female meteorologists, nationwide. I am 1 of ~63, and the ONLY Black female meteorologist in Arkansas. We’re living in a time where the value of diversity and inclusion is being challenged, but our young girls (and specifically, young black girls) deserve to see that the sky is the limit 🌟 by @symoneontv

Celebrating one whole year at THV11! 🥳 Thanks for putting your trust in me every weekend (and sometimes on weekdays in between). As the youngest meteorologist in this city, I don’t take that responsibility lightly. 🥹 I’m SO grateful for all of your kindness and genuine community support over this past year. Looking forward to more trust, more community and more growth in year 2 🩷 taken in Downtown Little Rock, Arkansas by @symoneontv

I post a lot of funny anecdotes and OOTDs on here, but I don’t post a lot of what I actually ✨do✨ at work. Well, y’all are in luck today because I’m really excited about how this piece came together, and I want everybody to see it 😂 Arkansas has been such a cool place to explore and learn about, and it’s been my honor to share what I’m learning along the way. This is for all of my teachers that used to say “she’s very intelligent, but she loves to talk.” Now this unlimited rizz is coming in handy 🤣 Anyway, I hope y’all enjoy this story at least a fraction as much as I enjoyed creating it. I’m already brainstorming my next, and it’s going to be a treat 🤩 by @symoneontv
