After two amazing years, I’ve decided it’s time for me to leave THV11.

Not many people get to work their dream job, but this was it for me. It’s still crazy to think I got paid to watch and talk about sports for a living, and to do it while primarily covering the team I grew up loving made it even more special.

Thank you to my fiancée and family for supporting me, the viewers for watching, and my awesome coworkers for making this such an enjoyable job.

I’ll miss it greatly, but I know my next career move outside the TV industry is the right one. As for what’s next, stay tuned!

My last day at THV11 will be June 29.

The biggest lesson life—and this wild news cycle—keeps reinforcing? You never have to beg for a seat at the table or wait for someone else to hand you a platform to celebrate and educate.

Black History Month and DEI shouldn’t be seen as radical acts or an attempt to offend. The goal is (and has always been) to live abundantly, love our neighbors, laugh, and pay these bills—because even dying ain’t free. Somewhere along the way, the plot got lost.

That’s why using the spaces we have to do what we need to do is so important. I recently hosted a Black History program focused on honoring lesser-known Black trailblazers in our respective career fields—because their contributions got us to where we are today. Their work paved the way for advancements that improve our lives. And guess what? What we’re doing now matters too. If we do it right, future generations will be talking about us.

I learned so much about the people who shaped our industries. But I also realized that, in 2025, many of my friends in that room are still among the firsts in their fields. WE are history in the making. And celebrating one community doesn’t mean disregarding another—there’s room for us all.

Happy Black History Month from my community to yours. As a joy influencer, I encourage you to celebrate in a way that makes sense to you—often and intentionally. Because, baby, at the end of the day... the day gotta end.

And yes, @durandbernarr your song has layers, and I too am overqualified in many aspects. 😂🙏🏾
